Its been NFL Lite for years as its their minor league, and now with the money involved and the money needed by the institutions to keep it going it will never stop.

Ive been a UTEP fan all my life. You think Ive cared about the SEC, Big Ten or Pac-10 for most of that time? Nope.

It always felt like the WAC/CUSA were in a different league. I never felt like the games didnt matter since UTEP was never going to win a major bowl or even a National Title in FB.

Your school and mine are much more alike than youd want to admit, even if youre now in a P6 (lol) conference.

I will probably leave shortly because it will be NFL Lite in terms of ego, crappy play, fixing games, etc.

But I would appreciate consolidation from 130 teams to 64 teams. All of the current schools should not be in the conversation and are just taking up space on the Bottom Line.

Well then you must be strongly opposed to the proposed 12-team playoff. Because that's the most "NFL - Lite" proposal in CFB in maybe forever.

The only thing constant in life is change.

Do I like what is happening?? Hell no, but I have accepted that most things in life I have little to no control over. I will watch because I love competition and my school.

Some of the “64” teams would be seen as little better than many G5 teams if the big boys of their conference left said conference. It’s why the Big XII remnants are already being called the Little 8.

Big XII, PAC12, ACC have a few brands that carry their conference in these convos. It’ll eventually be SEC vs Big 10 and however many schools are in them.

If anything G5 conferences are more pure versions of what a lot of people consider traditional college football.

Haven't watched a P5 vs P5 game since 2007, and don't plan on starting anytime soon.

The best way to protest is to boycott ESPN broadcasts.

I already don't follow FBS except for three teams. I have also never seen one second of a CFP game.

I'm going to watch. UCF included or excluded, I am going to watch college football.

I watch the UCF games. I watch most of the national games. If my wife isn't too annoyed, I'll even watch a Hawaii game at night. Then it's NFL Sunday and Monday.

Don't plan a wedding or major event during football season because I'll have an airpod in listening to the game while you're doing your thing.

I attend 1 UCF game a year, 1 Canes game a year (wife an alumna), 1 Dolphins game a year.

Buy new UCF and Dolphins merch every year. This year our family bought Dillon Gabriel and D'Eriq King merch on top of that.

College players getting paid for NIL has already made College Ball a NFL-Lite. I'm sure ECU is about to have some players getting some big money soon.

I don't really watch the P5 outside of non-con play vs the G5 so doesn't bother me.

There are over 700 college football teams in the US. They're not all going away if 32 of them decide they want to be the new XFL.

People are for Super Conferences of their team is on the right side of it.

Honestly, if it becomes a 32-44 league as some suggest they would have cooked the golden goose.

LOL OK. How's this change anything for ECU? A bunch of teams that never wanted to play ECU will continue to not play ECU.

I suspect they'll still be able to get about the same type of deals with SC, VT, NC State, WVU, and other regional P5s
