Just curious if anyone has heard or read anything regarding current plans for that structure? It is surrounded by construction fences right now that don't appear to be in place because of Calhoun Hall renovations. That building is well situated for CCM Village and while I don't anticipate any change of status for the Dieterle Vocal Arts Center @ the south end of Nippert, if conference change required stadium expansion it could provide even more usable space for CCM than Dieterle does.

Granted, CCM (and UC) are highly unlikely to make that change because of the legacy of that building and its donor history. Properly renovated, the Y could be a very attractive part of our campus once again.

I've wondered about that since UCAA is kind of homeless right now. My only concern, for them, is that with visiting alumni there would be zero parking available at the Alumni Center which is not very welcoming.

I had actually hoped UCAA might get that southwest corner of MLK and Clifton which would be a great campus gateway and offer at least some surface parking. In the short term at least, DAAP is using a new building there as studio space adjoining a small parking lot. I'm told the former Church of Christ Scientist next to that lot on Clifton is being renovated as a UC classroom/lecture hall. The campus footprint continues to grow to the west.
