Exclamation What is the administration doing?
Simple (or not so simple) question.....What is our administration doing right now as far as positioning us for the future? I see few reports or predictions that include Memphis but I have to think that we are hitting the phones hard. Just trying to get some opinions from people that know far more than I do.

Last time around, there were no comments of any kind from our admin, none...ZERO. They didn't comment when the bogus list came out and we weren't on it, they didn't comment after the conference didn't expand, and there was nothing that came out during the whole process.

Rudd is on it, Bowen was on it, and by default, Veatch is on it. Think of all of the improvements that have been made in every area since Rudd came on board. Whatever happens, we have the best man in place, and the university has never been in a better place in its history.

Talking to the folks in Hattiesburg, Birmingham, and Ruston, LA about going back to CUSA or calling our old friend Tom Bowen in Jonesboro and asking if he can get us in the Sun Belt is my guess.

Hopefully they're not composing a thousand desperate tweets like Cincy is doing. Let the Big 12 schools make fools of themselves for a while first, at least.

Ike has news from Norman, however, he has been told NOT to divulge any details.
Ike will lay low for awhile, IKE's staying an extra day in Norman, he's having a great time driving the Tiger Blue Lamborghini around campus.
He can say, TIGERNATION will be in a great position

Nah, I just know that we didnt make the cut last time (12th on the list at best) and see no reason to believe we'd be anywhere close this time. Adding 4 or 5 of the current B12 to the AAC would be the best thing, but the B12 is run by small minded idiots who are gonna hang on for every cent they can get from OU and Texas. They'll backfill with some combo of Houston, Cincy, SMU, Boise, BYU, UCF, USF. Maybe all of them. The folks in the B12 are so stupid, it wouldn't surprise me if they took Tulane over us for "academics" even with their 20,000 seat half empty football stadium and crackerbox gym with 800 people a game in attendance. They deliver the New Orleans market ya know. 03-lmfao

It had been a pretty good summer for Tiger sports. Playoff trending toward expansion put us in a good spot. Larry Brown. The prospect of landing Duren. Then, bam. We get hit with this conf realignment thing again which never seems to work well for us. Big East round 1, BE fell apart when we joined, B12 non-expansion in 2016- we always seem to be left out in the cold.

Our best hope is ESPN deciding to somewhat merge the AAC and whats left of the Big 12. But that will come down to $$, so who knows.

I believe we're polishing up the Memphis International Airport brochures... also possibly looking at offering naming rights for the right package.
