That's a dumb trade for Charlotte. I wouldn't expect it to look like this. I also don't agree that it is smart to move from 17 to 10. If you can get into the top 6, do it. If not, make an informed pick in your slot. This draft is pretty deep with role players.

The Pelicans, not Charlotte

They are trying to get rid of Bledsoe’s contract to create cap space to sign someone like Lowry. They have to keep Zion happy and need to have a competitive team sooner than later.

The 10th pick gets you closer to the top 6 or 7. Who knows is someone slips or if someone wants to trade down.

They gave Winslow a lot of chances, the Grizzlies hold a team option for $13,000,000 for one year- there is not any reason to keep him - that is why you can’t imagine it- it is not in any world a good deal…

keeping Winslow for one more year and using the expiring contract as a trade chip is attractive....same thing with NOLA and Bledsoe
