But it occurred to me that the tie in the SEC has with the L10 like the Sugar Bowl have zero appeal anymore and will terminate them and replace the L10 with a P4 conference opponent

My guess is the ACC as first choice to compliment the B1G in the Citrus Bowl or possibly the PAC since the SEC and PAC don’t really have a major bowl deal together yet and this would provide that opening

I could even see the Cotton Bowl ending its relationship with the B12 and becoming the SEC vs PAC major bowl game

Lots of other Bowl deals will likely have to get reworked as well in conjunction with the playoff

Well the Big 12 has won 3 of the 5 Big 12-SEC Sugar Bowls, with Alabama, Auburn and Georgia having losses.

Yeah the three wins are two by Oklahoma and one by Texas:) Not much of a selling point for the Big 12.

RE: Sugar Bowl Realignment
Each pair of NY6 bowls has 1 year out of 3 where they are not part of the CFP quarterfinals. In that year, each bowl hosts the top-ranked members of the conferences listed for them that are not in the CFP or have lost in the first round of the CFP.

Rose: Big Ten vs. Pac-12
Sugar: ACC vs. SEC

Cotton: Pac-12 vs. SEC
Orange: ACC vs. Big Ten

Fiesta: ACC vs. Pac-12
Peach: Big Ten vs. SEC

I like it, but would they be able to implement it before the current contract ends?

Well it makes the Little 10 comment look pretty stupid. Should the SEC be the L14?

I also wouldn't be surprised to see the Fiesta get an auto PAC team the Cotton\Peach getting an Auto SEC in making it that each major conference gets two auto NY6 games

If the L10 wasn’t the L10, why are you leaving again?
