RE: Statement from the President of Texas A&M
I’d also like to point out a lot of the anger in our fan base is being driven by false info being put out there by UT journalists like Kirk Bohls who intentionally made it sound like A&M was kept in the dark about this deal by the SEC leadership without its knowledge or input
I don’t believe that for a single second. I do believe presidents are informed but required to remain silent about big deals like this.
But a fans instant reaction to pot stirring tweet like that is going to be anger and a feeling of betrayal

UT is long that old mob boss in “Analyze This.” “What is this a civil service job? You think you can just want out and walk away?”?
Nobody is walking out and absolutely destroying them in the first SEC game will be amazing

So A&M made a lot of money for the SEC.
The SEC made a lot of money for A&M as well.

There are no other schools whose fans would be in the same situation.
If, for example, Iowa State was invited to join the Big Ten, Iowa fans would not be on social media saying "F*** the Big Ten", "The Big Ten sold its soul", "F*** that sh**hole city where ISU is located", none of that. There might be a few snarky remarks, or a few Hawkeyes fans rolling their eyes, but there wouldn't be any anger or rage.
That’s not a fair apples to apples comparison and you know it.
It would be more akin to if Iowa, ISU and Nebraska were in the Big 12, ISU got invited to the B1G, turned itself into a respectable member by selling recruits on being a real alternative to Iowa and Nebraska and then suddenly woke up to the news that the B1G was inviting in Iowa and Nebraska because making more money is a higher priority than the success of your program.
It's still different. The fans of those teams might dislike those other teams, or jokingly make fun of them, but there seem to be a large number of Aggie fans who sincerely detest the Longhorns and everything about them. Maybe it's the other way around, as well.

Oh it’s assuredly mutual, probably at least as bad as how you guys feel about the Bruins if not more so
But this will all calm down the second we destroy them on the field again

Pretty much.
Even more so once they catch up and realize “selling the conference” isn’t the game anymore anyway in the new world of NIL
They’re still worried about the advantage of horse breeds when the first model T is rolling off the assembly line
But they’re sitting on a huge oil field

Lol Tamu is 37-76 vs Texas with 3 wins out of the last 10 you've played.
Looking forward to this destruction.

Aren’t you a TCU grad? I remember the arguments you and the Texas Tech fan had until he was banned. I wonder how’s he reacting to all of this?
Anyway, what’s your take on TCU?

Sooo we should be worried about a program that finishes midway in a 10 team B12 and can’t even beat Maryland?

Both at this point! BA from TCU with my GI Bill then got a masters from A&M!
TCU, man I’m just not sure. I’m hoping the PAC but I honestly don’t feel good about that possibility
And yeah, Guess it proved me right that the SEC was never going to take Tech as a political baggage tagalong

A&M would be ecstatic with the SEC if they were more successful. They were competitive then it went to hell what happened.
