Yeah. I guess that's why Florida sponsored FSU's admission in 1991 and nominated them in 2011 and why South Carolina wanted to nominate Clemson in 2011. In fact both so emphatic that Slive had to ask them not to do that until A&M and Mizzou were added so we could renegotiate. The SEC is a business. You are entitled to hate a rival. No problem there. But no member is entitled to try to thwart a business move of the majority. It's why we are equal and don't decide money matters emotionally and when it involves a rival in a 14 member conference 12 other presidents decide what to do if you and your rival are at odds.

Their reactions have nothing to do with the rational business decisions our leadership is going to make with the conference

If you move Pitt, VT, and NC State into the SEC and move Vandy, Mizzou, and TAMU into the the SEC and get ND to join you get the following:

1. SEC money falls not one bit
2. The SEC just stuck a finger in Penn State's and Ohio State's eye by empowering VT and Pitt
3. The value of the ACC rises dramatically with the additions of markets in Texas, Missouri, and Tennessee
4. ESPN creates an additional number of OOC games between the ACC and SEC

TAMU, Mizzou, and Vandy might take a 5M or so pay cut, but that's the price of getting away from Texas and for the occasional winning football season. I expect TAMU to suck it up though.

My experience is that UT's deep-pocket boosters, etc. are very impatient.
