The Biden administration and CNN have a strange idea of what town hall meetings are. That event was at Mount St. Joe in Cincinnati last night. Questions had to be submitted beforehand and approved and only certain people were invited. The senile fool can't even function well under those conditions.

"Town Halls" have been like that for at least the last 30 years and maybe longer than that.

Biden Claims Top Democrat Economist Larry Summers Is Not Worried About Inflation. He Is.

Quote:President Joe Biden claimed during a CNN town hall event on Wednesday night that Democratic economist Larry Summers is not worried about inflation, despite the fact that Summers has repeatedly warned that inflation is a serious threat to the economy.

Biden made the claim after admitting that prices are up right now, saying, “It relates to what, in fact, is now needed because we’re growing.”

“I don’t know anybody — including Larry Summers, who’s a friend of mine, who’s worried about inflation — is suggesting that there’s any long-term march here if we do the things we’re going to do,” Biden claimed.

However, Summers has repeatedly warned about inflation and recently predicted that inflation will be running “pretty close” to 5% by the end of this year.

Summers warned in an op-ed in The Washington Post in February that “policymakers need to ensure that they have plans in place to address two possible, and quite serious, problems”:

First, while there are enormous uncertainties, there is a chance that macroeconomic stimulus on a scale closer to World War II levels than normal recession levels will set off inflationary pressures of a kind we have not seen in a generation, with consequences for the value of the dollar and financial stability. This will be manageable if monetary and fiscal policy can be rapidly adjusted to address the problem. But given the commitments the Fed has made, administration officials’ dismissal of even the possibility of inflation, and the difficulties in mobilizing congressional support for tax increases or spending cuts, there is the risk of inflation expectations rising sharply. Stimulus measures of the magnitude contemplated are steps into the unknown. For credibility, they need to be accompanied by clear statements that the consequences will be monitored closely and, if necessary, there will be the capacity and will to adjust policy quickly.

Politico reported earlier this month that some Biden administration officials are beginning to worry that Summers might have been right with his warning about inflation, especially now that Summers is saying that he is currently more worried about the issue than he was when he made the original warning.

“These figures and labor market tightness and the behavior of housing markets and asset prices are all rising in a more concerning way than I worried about a few months ago,” he said in an interview this month. “This raises my degree of concern about an economic overheating scenario. There are huge uncertainties in the outlook, but I do believe the focus of concern right now should be on overheating.”

In a separate interview in June, Summers warned, “The main risk is that our economy’s going to overheat.”

“And then once it overheats, it’s going to be hard to put out the fire without doing a lot of damage and causing a lot of problems,” he added. “And so I’d like to see us shift towards a policy concern. I mean, let me give you another example.”

There won't be long-term inflation it they do the things that they are planning to do. Because depression cures inflation.

Jen Psaki Does Clean-up on Biden Vaccine Messaging Flub, Exposes Bigger Problem in the Process

Quote:We reported last night on how President Biden made a wild claim during his CNN town hall about how “You’re not going to get COVID if you have these vaccinations.” For those who missed it, here’s the clip:

The statement is, of course, not true, and we can look to the “fugitive” Texas Democrats as Exhibit A of how people who are said to be fully vaccinated can still get the coronavirus including the Delta variant, which has reportedly made its way to the U.S. Congress and the White House.

During today’s White House press briefing, Biden press secretary Jen Psaki was asked about Biden’s comments from last night. As per the norm she ended up having to play “interpreter” for the POTUS, suggesting “the point he was trying to make last night” is that even if you do get the virus after becoming fully vaccinated that chances are you’ll be okay:

Reporter: “Last night, the President said you’re not going to get COVID if you have these vaccinations. Why did he say that when that is not what the science says?”

Psaki: “Well, what the science says is that 97% of hospitalizations are people who are unvaccinated. So, yes, there are cases of individuals who are vaccinated – to be absolutely clear – who have gotten COVID. It is a very small percentage and a small number of people. And those cases, [the] vast, vast, vast majority are asymptomatic and they have minor symptoms, which means that you are largely protected. That was the point he was trying to make last night.”

Watch:

In addition to the problems with Biden’s answer, the problem with Psaki’s answer is she leaves out the fact that according to the CDC, nearly 5,500 people have either been hospitalized or died from the virus even after getting the vaccine. The AP fact-checked the claim after Biden made a similar one to her’s last night during a post-town hall interview:

BIDEN, asked about vaccinated people who get infected: “It may be possible, I know of none where they’re hospitalized, in ICU and or have passed away so at a minimum I can say even if they did contract it, which I’m sorry they did, it’s such a tiny percentage and it’s not life threatening.” — remarks to reporters after the event.

THE FACTS: Once again, too far. That is evident from the CDC’s finding that 5,492 vaccinated people who tested positive for coronavirus were hospitalized or died as of July 12. That’s not “none.” But he is correct that it is a small percentage of the more than 159 million fully vaccinated Americans.

It’s astonishing that at this stage of the game, the Biden White House continues to be the worst purveyors of misinformation about the COVID vaccine and masks despite their accusations that it’s Republicans and people on Facebook who are misinforming people.

Though the percentage of people who catch the virus even after vaccination is small, people need to know that instead of being told it’s a surefire method for not catching it. There are people who could have heard his comments, then go get vaccinated and then two months from now catch it and think “I wouldn’t have gotten the vaccine if I knew this was going to happen,” and then spread that information to others who could be influenced not to take it.

The fact of the matter is that it was always the case that people ran the risk of still catching it even after vaccination. Pretty much everyone I know who has gotten the vaccine was told by the place administering it that it did not prevent you from catching it but that it would make it where if you did your symptoms would likely be mild and you’d be less likely to spread it to someone else.

The decision to get the vaccine is a personal choice. Some decide to and some don’t. In either case, people need to have accurate information in order to make informed decisions. The Biden White House has become their own worst enemies on this matter, and instead of defaulting to blaming Republicans or random Facebook users, they need to take a look in the mirror instead, because the misinformation continues to come straight from the top.

Sen. John Kennedy Rips Biden's "Defund the Police" Policies in His Signature John Kennedy Way

Quote:President Joe Biden is accusing Republicans of lying about his positions on defunding the police while discussing police reform during his recent town hall.

When asked by Don Lemon to respond to Republicans who paint him and the Democrats as anti-police, he simply responded with “they’re lying,” to cheers from the crowd.

He then proceeded to talk about a change in police conduct but claimed he “never said defund the police.”

Louisiana Senator John Kennedy watched the moment and Fox News decided to reach out to him for comment. He slammed Biden in a way only he can.

“President Biden is not telling the truth,” said Kennedy. “Maybe George Washington could not tell a lie, but just about every politician since has mastered the skill. And I don’t mean to be ugly, but President Biden has a Ph.D. in it.”

When asked what specifically Biden was lying about, he responded about the Democrat Party’s platform with creative language targeting police for change and Biden’s direct connections to the Democrat leaders of every major city that has defunded the police.

“If you look at the Democratic Party platform, which he wrote, it talks extensively about reimagining the police,” he said. “Among President Biden’s most ardent supporters are the Democratic mayors of most large cities, New York, Chicago, L.A., San Francisco, Seattle, Portland.”

“They’ve all cut police spending,” he continued. “They’ve all talked about doing it. President Biden has appeared with them many times and said what a great job he’s — they’re doing. He hasn’t — he certainly hasn’t discouraged them. If I watch a house burn down, don’t call the police or the fire department, I think I’m responsible.”

As the interview went on it was pointed out that Biden himself is actually lying and did, in fact, directly say that funding should be taken from police and redirected elsewhere.

The moment where Biden did say that was during a “Now This” online event back in July of 2020.

It’s this very platform that has sent crime skyrocketing into the stratosphere, including murders as we already pointed out even in April.

So in actuality, Biden is the one who is lying and if it weren’t for the fact that the internet provides continuous receipts, Biden might very well be able to teach a master class on it.

CNN Lets Cat Out of the Bag: Biden is ‘Very Progressive… Not Moderate’

Quote:Now they tell us. CNN’s Abby Phillip said out loud what thinking Americans have known all along about the Biden administration: It’s “not moderate.”

Whether or not it’s “progressive” in the literal sense of the word to blow trillions of taxpayer dollars that the American people can’t afford on make-work projects is left up to the reader to decide.

But CNN at least owned up to the fact that Biden’s policies are extreme, in the sense that “very progressive” means expensive tax-and-spend policies issued on the backs of working Americans.

“The policy is very progressive,” Phillip confessed. “The policy is not, you know, moderate. This is someone who is proposing $3.5 trillion in spending in a reconciliation bill on top of over a trillion dollars in spending on an infrastructure bill.”

On Monday, a failed Senate test vote dealt a blow to the $3.5 trillion spending blowout. The Republicans are countering with a $1.2 trillion proposal that sheds a lot of the ‘progressive’ goodies on climate change, union handouts, and kickbacks to radical groups.

Also buried in the infrastructure bill was a ‘pathway to citizenship’ for tens of millions of illegal immigrants/prospective Democrat voters. The Democrats were seeking to pass the bill through reconciliation, although this would be an egregious abuse of the process that is of dubious constitutional merit.

“Sen. Bob Menendez, D-N.J., the lead author of a sweeping immigration bill that reflects President Joe Biden’s vision, said Thursday that Democrats are exploring immigration changes worth $120 billion in the budget reconciliation measure, which can pass without Republican support,” NBC reported.

“Menendez said Democrats will seek to allow a path to legalization and green cards for certain ‘Dreamers,’ farmworkers, essential workers and people on Temporary Protected Status,” the report continued.

“That’s not everything that my U.S. Citizenship Act would do, but it would be a very big down payment,” he said, adding that the objective is “to be as expansive as we can on immigration reform.”

Such radical provisions would almost certainly guarantee a perpetual Democratic majority in national politics for generations. That’s as “very progressive” as it gets.

Biden* is simply lost; his dementia is stealing his memory and speaking abilities. He is basically incoherent.

It is a travesty having this man put in the world's toughest position of authority because his wife wanted to be the First Lady in a MAJOR way.

Part of me WANTS to feel sorry for him but.....he can step down at any time. But he won't for two reasons:
1) Jill really enjoys the perks of being First Lady.
2) The REAL POWERS behind the scenes need to stay hidden from the public eye.

So he continues to stutter and misspeak about 2/3 of the time while eyeballing the pre-teen girls.

Seriously pathetic.
