We need a firebrand right now and he is the frontrunner IMO. I would probably even vote for him over Trump. With him I think you get the best of Trumpism without all the antagonism and controversy. Even when Cruz is being antagonistic as shown here he does it masterfully. He has an outstanding command of the English language and speaks confidently and assertively when required.
Cruz is a great debater, no doubt about it.
But he is not a good campaigner. He's surly and unlikable. I don't think I've ever seen him genuinely smile.
That's ok in a Senate primary, where you're not on TV all the time. It's ok in the Senate general election in Texas, where any Republican has a huge advantage over any Democrat. But it's a huge killer when you're trying to win over suburban housewives in Phoenix or swing voters in Pennsylvania.

Honestly, I'm in no rush for Cruz to make another run at the Presidency, as he does a fantastic job where he is, unless there's absolutely NO one on the lineup card that can step up (which again, I honestly think the Republicans have one of the strongest 'top to bottom' lineups for potential candidates in '24).
Nah, Trump was never passionate and rarely was he angry. He spoke poorly in moderated tones. Don't get me wrong, I voted for him and love what he did for the entire country.
And great point about Cruz possibly being more effective where he is.
It is going to take a WHILE to "un do" the immense damage Biden* and his cackling sidekick will inflict on this country in their single term in the Oval Office.
Whoever the Repubs put up in 2024 will be able to moonwalk backwards to victory; despite the immense cheating the Dems will once again try to implement. The shift back to the right will overcome it.

Hey! If Europe could rebuild after WWII I'm sure with a REAL President (Republican of course) we'll be able to do the same. But...we have to get rid of a lot of bad actors and they all seem to come from the DOJ.
