Update: After 13 holes, -2 for the day, making him -1 overall, and tied for 10th-13th only 4 off the lead.

A really solid 70 turned in by Seamus today. Currently in 17th position overall. My pick Mcilroy having a tough day thus far at =3 for the day.

Power sits in a tie for 11th place through 3 rounds! Course played super tough today and Seamus did a fine job taming it with his 70 to put himself in contention for a really nice finish on Sunday!

Yeah, he's tied for 11th-16th, but (mildly) surprisingly that's only 5 off the lead of Zalatoris. Was windy there, and seemed like most were sort of playing it safe, trying not to have a disastrous hole. Nor sure most are wanting to 'challenge' the course, allowing discretion to be the better part of valor. And I think Seamus is definitely in that camp.

He's certainly in fine shape for a *possible* top 10 finish, but will be hard to climb very far up the board because of the extremely high-level names above him.

Birdied the first hole on a *super* tricky, sharply-breaking putt, but then bogied the third, to be even for the day so far.

Edit: Has now dropped another shot at the turn, to be +1 on the day; +2 overall, and tied for 17th-25th. Some players are able to score today, so unless he really turns it on, a top 10 finish is becoming unlikely.

Later edit: Finished even on the day again, so +1 for the tournament on a very tough course. As of now that's tied for 12th, and will likely settle in that general range.

Indeed, finished tied with Jon Rahm, 12th-13th, ONE SHOT short of automatically being exempted for next year.

Seamus is the best thing going for the ETSU athletic department currently. He's been playing really well all year.

I guess I should also mention the Volleyball program too as they are having a really nice seaon!

As most probably know...................Meronk didn't make the cut, but Power did. He was tied for 40th after the second day. He ended up 46th (or tied for it), with a really bad last 9 today. Congrats, tho, on at least getting there again.
