Quarterback Matthew Schecklman (6-4, 205) of Appleton (Wisc.) North High School reported via Twitter yesterday he was offered a scholarship by Northern Iowa.

A class of 2022 recruit, Schecklman's UNI offer is his first from a Division I (FCS) school. He also reports recruiting interest from Central Michigan, where Schecklman attended camp on June 13, and South Dakota, where he camped on June 17.

Schecklman is teammates at Appleton North with DL Wesley King (6-5, 270), who was offered a scholarship by the Chippewas on June 9 and attended camp at CMU June 26-27.

Another quarterback CMU is recruiting is Colin Parachek (6-4, 200) of Myrtle Beach (S.C.) Collegiate Academy.

Originally a class of 2021 recruit out of Dexter (Mich.) High School, Parachek reclassified to the class of '22 to improve his recruiting stock.

Parachek attended a one-day camp at CMU on June 10. In addition to the Chippewas, he reports recruiting interest from Pitt, Toledo, Bowling Green, Charlotte, James Madison, Youngstown State and Lehigh.
