You ever see him apologize for Afghanistan and Iraq, or for lying about Iraq?

Yea, me neither; so I’m not sure what responsibility he ever took for anything or what class he showed.

Lying about Iraq? You talking about the WMDs? Wanna see the list of senators, congressmen and government authorities who said there were indeed WMDs there? It’s a seriously long list.

Disagree all you want but, personally, I thought he was a good President.

If 9/11 happened today liberals would dance in the streets celebrating. MSM would tell us we deserved it.

W is the President I'd most like to have a beer with.
I'm not sure I'd piss on any of the others if they were on fire.

EDIT: I don't think he was great as President, I actually voted against him in 04. However, I believe he is for regular Americans

I used to like W but after that speech it's just obvious that he thinks like his dad, the One World Government advocate. The European Union is a small scale OWG and it was just supposed to be for trade and then they started giving orders on how to live. Britain was smart for giving them the finger.

Another chat board I visit frequently for military and defense information is WarOnTheRocks. It is run out of TexasU, but it is frequented by a bunch of national security hands. They are truly deep state residents, although they call it the blob. It is really fascinating to get their points of view on this sort of stuff.

I did not vote for Bush and was not a fan of his prior to the terrorist attacks. I gained respect of him for though how he handled the 9/11 attacks. Then, either right before or right after he left office he gave a lengthy interview and it was probably the most genuine interview I have ever seen of a politician. He spoke of the difficulties of the job. Trying to do the right thing even when you know any decision you make is going to make a lot of people mad. A very humanizing glimpse.

I've never really understood this sentiment, whether expressed by those who supported him or those who opposed him. For the record, I despised Al Gore, and voted libertarian only because I knew that in Texas it didn't really matter, so I might as well register a protest vote.

But I was not positively impressed by how he handled the 9/11 attacks, either immediately or in the long run. Maybe I have a different perspective from most because I am a retired Naval officer and because I have spent a lot of time in the Middle East, but I always thought he was a bit off key with his responses.

Say what you will about W's presidency and I could say a lot of bad decisions were made, but his calm Texas good ole boy self was the perfect leader we needed during those weeks after 9/11. I don't think county has ever been or maybe ever will be as united as those weeks after 9/11

W made some serious mistakes as President. I have always thought of him as a fine man though. I agree that he rose to the occasion in the days and weeks after the attacks. I still can’t watch this clip without getting emotional.

I will say that at the time I was a huge Bush supporter and I believe to this day that just like Trump he has a deep love of country. I just think at the the end of the day he has a deeper love of money and power but the same can be said of almost every politician who's ever held office.

Maybe it was just that the “little stuff” was not so important anymore. And of course he made mistakes but he facilitated bringimg people together or maybe it was more that people were more willing to be brought together 20 years ago.
