Before Jordan the Bulls were one of the worst teams in the league. It’s true that Pippen, Grant and then Rodman helped put them over the top, but Pippen on his own was no leading man. He was Robin to Batman. Jordan never didn’t blame his bad play on a migraine or sulk on the bench when Phil drew a play up for Kukoc. I don't disagree. I'm just saying that for whatever reason, Jordan matched up better against Penny. Penny had his way with the Bulls until the game in '95-'96 where they switched from trying to defend Penny with Scottie/Rodman, and put Jordan on him. Jordan ate his lunch.
