I know we suck this year, but if and when we clean house from Hitt to Orsini to Kruczek then we should be more competitive and make C-USA a better conference . Being a large universty with over 40,000 students and located in central florida should give us a chance to land leftovers that Miami, Florida, FSU, and now USF don't want. There is still a lot of talent left. I really feel we have plenty of good talent currently on the team. We just have no discipline, terrible execution, bad play calling-- and that starts with coaching. If we start winning some big games the fans will start to fill the 70,000 seat stadium. I hope we can help make C-USA better than the Big East in football.

The biggest potential to:

Have 20k at home games, roughly 1/2 your student population?

Have 20 players kicked off the team?

Have the HERD come down to Orlando and put a Mickey Mouse wuppin on you all?

Just wait and see. If UCF finds a good coach anything is possible. UCF has had plenty of talent over the last eight years and nothing to show for it. That is why there is little fan interest. I am personally surprised Hitt and Orsini fired Kruczek so soon. They just gave themselves a reprive from the ax.

Here is a list of UCF Knights currently in the NFL. How many does Marshall have?

One day Marshall will fear setting foot on UCF turf!

NFL Knights: Week 9
In alphabetical order

#89 WR Kenny Clark (Vikings): DNP

#11 QB Daunte Culpepper (Vikings): 21-34, 202 yards, 2 TDs; 97.9 rating; 4 carries, 16 yards, 1 TD.

#79 OG Steve Edwards (Bears): Started against the Chargers (8th straight) in a 20-7 win.

From the Chicago Daily Herald

Thomas' first 1-yard run gave the Bears a 10-0 lead with 9:27 left in the half and was set up by his 14-yard burst through a huge hole opened up by left guard Steve Edwards and center Olin Kreutz.

#22 CB Travis Fisher (Rams): Returned from injury and started against the 49ers. No stats.

From the St. Louis Post-Dispatch:

Fisher has star potential, but Jerametrius Butler and DeJuan Groce have taken the usual young cornerback lumps.

#85 WR Doug Gabriel (Raiders): DNP

#74 OL Cornell Green (Buccaneers): Started his first game of the season at right tackle against the Saints.

#87 WR Shawn Jefferson (Lions): 1 reception for 2 yards and 1 rush attempt for 3 yards in his second start of the season.

#88 WR Charles Lee (Buccaneers): No stats

#62 C Chris Lorenti (Texans): IR

#98 DE Elton Patterson (Bengals): DNP

#22 CB Asante Samuel (Patriots): 1 tackle (solo), 1 pass defensed and a game clinching INT against the Broncos in a Monday Night thriller. He's just having a great season. Congrats to him.

Should be interesting for UCF with Kruczek gone and all of the suspended players. Sometimes you have to go backwards to go forward...just hopefully not too far backwards.

Citrus Bowl shouldn't be considered 70,000 seats. That's the crappiest stadium I've ever been in, and I remember seeing on the news that they said the entire upper deck would collapse in Hurricane force winds.

You guys need a new stadium badly.

Hey, they play the Citrus Bowl there and they already had 76000 people in the stands...and it didn't collapse. See...there is a God.

Your right though...we need a new on campus stadium. Now if we can only find the money. I would rather see Orlando spend the money on a stadium for UCF than a new Arena for the Magic. DeVos has plenty of money.
