Do all Texans a favor and permanently move to DC.

Wouldn't surprise me if they're faking a COVID diagnosis in an effort to quarantine themselves and continue avoiding arrest.

Whelp, three of the Texas Dem Runaways have contracted COVID 19 while on vacation in DC. All three were vaccinated and all are quarantined so they say.

Kamala Harris Taken To Walter Reed Medical Center

Quote:Days after meeting with the Democrat lawmakers from Texas, and one day after three of them tested positive for COVID-19, Kamala Harris has gone to Walter Reed Hospital.

The White House says that the visit is for a “routine doctor’s appointment,” though the timing is curious particularly because it is a “routine” checkup on a Sunday.

How often do people go to the doctor for a routine checkup on a Sunday?

On Saturday, Symone Sanders, the spokesperson for Harris, said that Harris was not in close contact with the lawmakers who tested positive, but judging by a photo on her Twitter account “close” would be in the eye of the beholder.

BREAKING: More Texas Democrats Test Positive For Coronavirus After Fleeing State To Subvert Democracy

Quote:Two more Texas Democrats tested positive for the coronavirus on Sunday after three tested positive late last week which comes amid their stay in Washington, D.C., which they fled to as they refused to take part in legitimate democratic processes in the state of Texas.

“In light of some positive COVID-19 tests over the weekend, the House Democratic Caucus has decided to go beyond CDC guidance and provide daily rapid tests for all Members and staff in Washington, D.C., for this week,” the Texas House Democrats said in a statement. “As part of this precautionary testing, today two additional Members who were fully vaccinated tested positive. All of the HDC Members who tested positive are feeling good, with no symptoms or only mild symptoms.”

Runaway Texas Dem Shows How Hypocritical He Is With Call for Mask Mandate

Quote:We reported previously on the irony that hit the runaway Texas Democrats.

The Democratic lawmakers fled to D.C. to avoid having a quorum to be able to vote on an election security bill in Texas. They’ve been spreading a blatant lie that the bill is denying people voting rights when, in fact, it doesn’t deprive one person of the ability to vote.

But now, three of them have tested positive for the Wuhan coronavirus. This was after they took a bus, then a charter flight to D.C. and had been all around D.C., even meeting with people like Kamala Harris and Joe Manchin. Sounds like they were a super-spreader group. Had they stayed and done their job, they may not have had this result.

One of the people who has emerged as a real jerk in this performative drama is Gene Wu, who represents a district in Houston. He mocked the appearance of a Republican colleague who is on the autism spectrum, plus he also insulted voters while on this jaunt, as we noted.

Now after his colleagues have tested positive for the virus, Wu is arguing for more masking.

First, there never was a national mask mandate, and no, you’re not going to get one now. This guy is so ignorant that he thinks there was one. He doesn’t seem to even understand enough about our governmental system to understand there could not be such a national mandate.

There was a Biden edict in place that people have to wear masks on public transportation, including flights, which this guy and his mates didn’t do on their charter flight to D.C. So, he wants to impose masks on people — when he and his brethren blew off the rule which had been in place. It’s not happening, Gene. If you actually thought the masks were valuable you would have worn them, but you didn’t.

But, it sure takes a lot of gall for him to go there. They support masks on people and then don’t wear them themselves. They support avoiding a vote by running away from it, while trying to do away with the filibuster in the Senate in D.C. They claim they are trying to defend voting rights while actually obstructing them. It’s just another example of their hypocrisy.

Running away so there is no quorum is OK, according to her. Mental defectives. Vote them out but not until after they've been arrested for acting like little children who threw a tantrum.

I will say that I'm going to agree with the Texas-Dumbocrats on this argument. There is nothing illegal about packing up and making sure a quorum can't be reached.

That being said, the optics of this move alone is going to be such an embarrassment to them (including the picture including the Lite Beer, in particular), that they're going to regret going this route.

In that case, Republicans were right in avoiding discussion or voting on something that isn’t truly a threat as it’s naturally been going on for the planet’s existence.

In the Texas case, Dems were in the wrong because they’ve cheated in the most recent election and they fled the state to keep from making it harder for them to cheat.

Regardless of whether there was a law that prevented the officials from leaving the state, Dems still would’ve been morally wrong.

No. The Texas Constitution does not limit the number of special sessions a governor may call in between two regular legislative sessions.

Gov. Abbott has already stated he will continue to call special sessions until the work has completed.

Texas Senate Passes Voting Bill, as Democratic Rivals Push Federal Bill
The Wall Street Journal
By Elizabeth Findell
Updated July 13, 2021 7:25 pm ET

Quote:Dozens of House Democrats have vowed to stay in Washington, D.C. until the special legislative session ends Aug. 7 in order to kill the bill, which must pass both chambers. The House cannot approve legislation without a two-thirds quorum of its 150 members. The remaining House members voted 76-4 Tuesday morning to send law enforcement to find absent Democrats and return them “under warrant of arrest, if necessary.”

Quote:Both chambers of the Republican-controlled Texas legislature, in a special legislative session that began last week, filed similar versions of the bill, which would broadly tighten voting rules across the state. Gov. Greg Abbott called the special session after Democratic House members walked out before a voting deadline at the end of the regular legislative session in May, denying the body a quorum needed to vote on the proposed legislation.

Quote:The legislators will have to remain out of the state for weeks to successfully run out the clock on the 30-day special session.

Quote:While Texas Democrats have promised to stay in Washington until the end of the special session on Aug. 7, Gov. Abbott could continue to call special sessions to pass the voting bill. Democrats acknowledged Tuesday that the only long-term solution was federal legislation.

At this point if they already took the shot they would not be getting tested for covid unless they had symptoms. So to answer your question there's a 99% chance they were symptomatic

AG Paxton: Democrats ‘Could Be Arrested as Soon as They Step Back on Texas Soil’

Quote:Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton is warning Democrats, who left the state in an apparent effort to block an election bill, could face arrest when they return to the state.

During an interview on Newsmax, Paxton did not mince his words when discussing

“If you care about the Constitution, there are constitutional obligations to emerge when there is a session and represent the people they are elected to represent,” Paxton said.

“We have a minority of Democrats who decided that they are not going to let any other legislator vote, so they’re not even going let other legislators do their obligation,” he added.

Paxton added, “It’s pellucidly an infringement of the law.”

WATCH:

Texas Republican Gov. Greg Abbott is taking a hardline approach with Democrats who have fled the state.

When he appeared on Fox News on Monday night, the Texas governor said the Democrats who fled the state will be arrested when they return.

On Tuesday, the Texas House voted 76-4 to have the Sergeant-at-Arms send for the Democrats who fled.

“Isn’t that the most un-Texan thing you’ve ever heard? Texans running from a fight? They’re quitters,” he said on Fox News.

“It’s like during a football game or baseball game, taking their equipment when they’re way behind and just leaving the field. That is not the way that Texas, Texans do things,” he added.

“We have special sessions that last 30 days, and the governor calls them and I will continue calling special session after special session because over time it’s going to continue until they step up to vote,” he said.

“The thesis that they are operating under is completely false because what the Texas law does, doesn’t hinder anybody’s ability to vote. And in fact, interestingly, what Texas is seeking to do is to add additional hours to vote. Texas has 12 days of early voting and the hours of which will be expanded. And we will ensure that hours are expanded on Election Day also. So their entire thesis is completely wrong. And compare early voting in Texas with early voting that we have in Delaware. Texas has 12 days of early voting. Delaware has zero days of early voting. Why am I picking on Delaware? Because that is where the President himself voted in the last election. And if anybody wants to talk about voter suppression, they should be talking about Delaware, not Texas,” he added.

“And that’s one reason why they’re losing the arguments with regard to voting on this issue and other issues in the state of Texas,” the governor said.

Abbott said: “But I want to point this out for your viewers who are watching from Texas because by the Democrats fleeing, they’re also fleeing what we’re trying to achieve by cutting your property taxes and by making sure that we secure the border, by funding very important projects such as law enforcement in communities that have high crime. And so by fleeing the state of Texas, they’re doing more than just appealing to the President. They’re using taxpayer money on this political junket to Washington, D.C., to prevent us from passing laws that will make our communities better.”

Texas Dems Say They Will Spend $1.5 Million On D.C. Jaunt, Admit Going Maskless On Plane Was A ‘Mistake’

Quote:A group of Texas Democrats will spend a shocking $1.5 million on a jaunt to Washington, D.C., designed to subvert the democratic process in Texas — and the group will likely have to remain in the nation’s capital until at least August in order to avoid voting on voter integrity, anti-CRT, and transgender athlete bills.

At least one Texas legislator also admits, now, that going maskless on the group’s $100,000 chartered private plane was a “mistake.”

“Denying Republicans a quorum to enact voting restrictions will cost Texas Democrats north of $1 million, according to the state legislator leading the fundraising effort,” NBC News reported Monday. “Walle said the pair of private charter jets the majority of legislators took to Washington cost more than $100,000, while housing, food, and other transportation costs will make up the bulk of other expenses.”

The group is expected to remain in Washington, D.C., until at least August 7th, running up the bill. Each hotel room is estimated to be around $200 per night, but it is not clear whether each Democrat gets their own $200-per-night hotel room or whether several members of the group share.

At this point, extra rooms may also be required, given that 5 of the 50 Democrats have tested positive for COVID-19.

Although the group insists that the trip is not being paid for by Texas taxpayers, NBC noted that who, precisely, is paying for the trip is an “open question.”

“The charter jets were paid for by wire transfer from the state House Democratic Caucus just hours before takeoff Monday afternoon,” according to an earlier NBC News report that referenced an unnamed caucus member. “Members and staffers have picked up costs on their personal credit cards, too, legislators said.”

“A large block of hotel rooms at a mid-range D.C. hotel was booked with a House member’s personal American Express card,” the outlet also noted based on an interview with an unnamed staffer.

Power to the People, a group led by perennial Texas legislative candidate, Beto O’Rourke, said last week that it raised a half-million dollars as a result of the Texas Democrats’ D.C. junket, but it is not immediately clear whether that money will go to repay the debt racked up by Texas Democrat legislators. The group told NBC News only that the “money would be transferred to the legislative caucuses for official use.”

The Texas Tribune reported last week that the cost is likely to fall on the Texas House Democratic Caucus.

“That House Democratic Caucus is paying for this trip. And we are funded by our campaigns,” one member of the delegation told the outlet. “This is a combination of us coming together to recognize that the funds that we have for our campaign are needed to make sure we could keep doing our job for Texas.”

“Representatives of the caucus also tell us the planes were donated, and the hotels are paid for by campaign and caucus accounts,” noted the Texas Tribune.

Texas Republicans pointed out, however, that a month-long legislative session is apt to cost taxpayers $1 million — a direct consequence of the Democrats’ D.C. junket.

Although attention on their efforts is waning, the Texas Democrats do not appear to be ready to admit the junket was a mistake — though they do admit at least one major error. According to Yahoo News, Texas Rep. Gene Wu admitted not masking in a confined space, like an airplane, was a “mistake.”
