WATCH: Dems Celebrate Fleeing Texas, Break Into Song

Quote:Texas Democrats, having fled their state in order to prevent the legislature from assembling a quorum and thus considering election reforms, broke into song as they spoke to reporters on Tuesday, singing (if one could legitimately call it that), “We will overcome. We will overcome. We will overcome. Someday. Deep in our hearts, I do believe, we shall overcome someday.”

Apparently the Democrats wanted to liken their fleeing from Texas and their defiance of the Texas legislature as something in the manner of the civil rights movement, as the song “We Shall Overcome” has been regarded as an anthem of that movement.

Texas Democrat Rep. Lloyd Doggett effused, “These courageous colleagues chose not to be accomplices by sitting at their desks and being steamrollered in Austin. It took courage to do what they’re doing.” He snapped, “No matter what they do, Greg Abbott and his group of extremists will never change.”

As The Daily Wire reported on Monday, “At least 51 of 67 House lawmakers boarded chartered flights to Washington, D.C., to protest in support of the For The People Act, which would shift much authority over election processes from the states to the federal government. The walkout comes after Republican Texas Governor Greg Abbott announced a special session of Congress to focus on legislative priorities such as election reforms that were blocked when Democrats broke quorum earlier this year.”

Abbott first reacted by stating, “Texas Democrats’ decision to break a quorum of the Texas Legislature and abandon the Texas State Capitol inflicts harm on the very Texans who elected them to serve. As they fly across the country on cushy private planes, they leave undone issues that can help their districts and our state. The Democrats must put aside partisan political games and get back to the job they were elected to do. Their constituents must not be denied these important resources simply because their elected representative refused to show up to work.”

Later Monday night, Abbott stated on Fox News, “Isn’t that the most un-Texan thing you’ve ever heard? Texans running from a fight? They’re quitters. It’s like during a football game or baseball game, taking their equipment when they’re way behind and just leaving the field. That is not the way that Texas, Texans do things.”

“What the law is, it’s in the Constitution, and that is the house, the State House of Representatives who were here in the Capitol in Austin right now, they do have the ability to issue a call to have their fellow members who are not showing up to be arrested, but only so long as that arrest is made in the state of Texas,” Abbott added. “That’s why they have fled the state. Once they step back into the state of Texas, they will be arrested and brought to the Texas Capitol, and we will be conducting business.”

BREAKING: Texas Makes Good on Promise to Arrest Democrats for Fleeing Election Integrity Bill Vote

Quote:The State of Texas is making good on its word that Democratic members of the legislature who fled votes on critical state business will be arrested or detained if necessary upon their return.

The Texas House voted 76-4 to arrest the state legislature’s members who fled the state to deny a vote on election reform bills. Watch:

https://rumble.com/vjshgh-watch-texas-ma...tion-.html

Earlier, it was reported that the measure may not even be necessary, because a quorum may be met in the Texas Legislature regardless.

A New York Times reporter said that a Texas senate aide told him there may be a quorum, even without the Texas Democrats.

“Just in: A Texas senate aide tells me that a number of Texas Democratic senators have also left for Washington, but not enough to break a quorum in the senate,” the Times reporter tweeted. “A Republican Texas senate aide says that a quorum is expected and that they will likely take up SB1 today.”

You read that right: The bills could be passed today anyway.

So, while the Democrats were out taking selfies after their highly publicized rides on private jets and luxury buses, it turns out they may not be needed at all, after all.

Many more tweets like this at the link:

Quote:We’ve been reporting on the stunning and brave Democrats who fled the state of Texas to avoid having a quorum so that a vote could not be taken on the election security bill that Republicans are trying to pass.

Democrats took what appeared to be a bus and then a charter flight out to Washington, D.C. looking for all the world like they were on a holiday, even having a case of beer on the bus with them. Not even Texas craft beer, but Miller Lite.

But you wouldn’t know if you listened to them preening about their “courage.” What courage? You’re pulling a political stunt to try to stop the bill from passing because you don’t have the votes and you know it.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott threatened them with arrest. “Once they step back into the state they will be arrested and brought back to the Capitol and we will be conducting business,” he said.

But they’re off preening as we reported earlier, first meeting with Kamala Harris, who compared them to people who fought and died for right the vote, an insult to every one of those people. Then the lawmakers were bragging about themselves, as we also noted.

Here’s another one:

Yeah, sure, I believe that and I have a bridge to sell you in Brooklyn too.

Now, just in case you weren’t clear that they were throwing a tantrum, Gene Wu removes all doubt with this post:

“To all the MAGA Troopers and GOP simps who are crying little snowflake tears about me saying that people recognized me,” he said “HAHAHA. Thanks for letting me in your little heads. I’m going to like it here.”

Imagine that this is an elected political official who talks about Americans and folks in his district this way, District 137, Southwest Houston, where there are most certainly some Republicans. But even if there weren’t, how juvenile to attack voters in this fashion, especially when he’s claiming his action is about protecting the right to vote. This is just one more example of what a lie that is.

Nothing in the bill prevents anyone from voting. Among the things in the bill is a new voter ID requirement for voting by mail, according to the Texas Tribune. But you would have that requirement if you voted in person. So why would that be a problem? Unless you want to cheat.

But Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) made an important point about this tantrum they were throwing — that to get on the plane to D.C., the runaway legislators would most likely have had to show ID somewhere along the way, and yet they don’t want to have that ID requirement on the mail-in ballot, for which they don’t want signature checks. Cruz also noted that he had previously had to research the question about the arrest of fleeing legislators and that yes, that’s a thing and the Speaker has the power to do that.

The fleeing lawmakers also didn’t wear masks either on that plane when all the rest of us peasants are still being required to wear them on the non-chartered planes. Nice to be the elite and throw tantrums, right?

Put a $20k bounty on the head of all of them...only open to people licensed to act as bounty hunters in TX.

This thing would end in a day once the first couple get dragged in for the perp walk crying that they were not even allowed to get a latte on the trip back.

Now I know I’ve seen it all. What a hoot! Lloyd Doggett calling others extremists. RE: Texas Democrats Undermine Democracy
Texas Senate Passed SB1 Election Integrity Bill

Quote:Texas voter integrity bill SB1 passed the state Senate. The legislation passed on Tuesday night in a 18 to four vote.

It will now head to the state House, where most Democrats have fled to avoid having to vote on similar legislation proposed in the House. The bill aimed to strengthen voting integrity by adding new voter ID requirements and adding a monthly review of Texas voter rolls.

House Republicans slammed Democrats for fleeing the state by pointing out all the other important measures they’re leaving behind, including ones on border security and elder care.

Rep. Jim Murphy (R-Texas) went on to say, “by walking out again, the Democrats have potentially killed legislation that benefits our teachers, that works for our foster kids, that benefits our seniors, takes care of our families and all Texans who want a Texas solution to the drug trafficking and human smuggling occurs along our border.”

As of now, the state House lacks quorum to pass either of the bills. However, the Texas House did vote on Tuesday to send for all Democrats who fled to D.C and bring them back, even it requires their arrests.

Greg Abbott Skewers the Lies of the Runaway Texas Dems and Decimates Joe Biden In the Process

Quote:Texas Governor Greg Abbott has had enough of the runaway Texas Democrats throwing their little tantrum political stunt.

As we reported earlier, he said that he was going to make them do their job and have them arrested if they return to the state.

Abbott eviscerated the Democrats’ false claims about the election security bill, saying that it isn’t denying anyone the right to vote and, in fact, the bill provides for increased voting hours.

Abbott also brought up another area of Democratic hypocrisy – the number of days of early voting. Texas has 12, and guess what state has none? Delaware, Joe Biden’s home state. Yet Biden’s the one accusing Republicans of somehow being restrictive with bills like the one at issue inTexas when his state’s voting isn’t even as liberal.

Ingraham highlights how the Texas Democrats ran away to D.C. and are arguing that to get rid of the filibuster in Washington, which is actually a Senate rule. But meanwhile, they’re effectively trying this political stunt which is acting as a filibuster.

Abbott also went on Dana Loesch’s show today and gave the latest.

He noted that while they’re on the junket, taxpayer business isn’t able to get done, noting:

“The reason property taxes are not being cut is because Democrats fled the state.”

Yet these runaway Democrats and their staff are still being paid. But if they stay out too long, they won’t be paid and could lose their benefits come the end of next month, and could potentially lose their seats if they are away too long, Abbott said. Meanwhile, they’re doing all this on the taxpayer’s dime rather than arguing their points.

Loesch said the bill isn’t anything like the Democrats are claiming and no one will be restricted from voting. Abbott called it the “biggest lie in politics,” noting that was saying something. He again pointed out that if the Democrats want to make this argument, they should go after Delaware, Joe Biden’s state. But they won’t, because it’s a Democratic state.

Abbott said that everyone has to follow the same state rules; they can’t make up their own rules. Abbott said there is greater fraud in mail-in ballots, so you want to secure them.

But, Abbott predicts, Democrats are going to pay a heavy price for their stunt, predicting that many of them will be voted out because of this stunt and they shouldn’t be quitters.

Loesch cited a poll saying over half of Texans do not support such a stunt and oppose walking out on a vote in this matter.

So the bottom line is, if the Republican bills like that in Texas are “Jim Crow,” as Joe Biden claims, then his own state, Delaware, must be even more racist than that. When will Joe Biden be calling out his own state for their horrible racist ways? Indeed, since it seems like Biden was the senator from there for 120 years, he needs to justify why he never did anything to stop this horrible racism in his own state. Obviously, this means he supported it. What is his defense?

The verify team on the local news said they are using campaign funds. If you actually want to believe it. They are politicians aka liars. Most likely using public funding per diem.

Brave Texas Toddlers Flee State On Jet When Told To Eat Their Vegetables

Quote:AUSTIN, TX—The media is calling a brave little group of Texas toddlers heroes after they responded to the oppression of being told to eat their vegetables in the most mature, patriotic way imaginable: by chartering a jet to flee the state.

The brave little tots chartered their very own Boeing 737 and climbed aboard, taking selfies along the way to keep their social media followers updated on their courageous stand against tyranny. They are flying to Washington, D.C., where they hope to appeal their case to "the pwesident."

When asked for comment, the group's leader Timmy said, "Waaaa! I don't want to eat my vegetables! Mommy is mean! I hate her!" Sally chimed in, "Yeah, we don't wanna! No vegetables! No bedtime! WAAAAAAAH!!!"

All the toddlers then joined in for a stirring rendition of "Baby Shark."

The toddlers' parents have filed to have them arrested upon their return, though they'd prefer that the police just "hang onto" the kids for a while rather than returning them to their homes. "Can they just like watch them for a few days? I've got stuff to do," said Chloe Mendez of Dallas as she opened a box of wine and settled in to watch Netflix.

At publishing time, the group had cracked open a six-pack of Squeez-Its to unwind along the way.
