EMU to play at Washington in 2024
I hadn't seen this posted yet. "Additionally, the Huskies have added single home games against Eastern Michigan on Sept. 7, 2024 and Colorado State on Aug. 30, 2025."

Dear Frank,
Glad to see this finally announced. Too bad it was by the University of Washington, and not Eastern. Funny how things turn out, because Athletic Director Wetherbee told us at a football luncheon in 2019 that Eastern was signing a contract with Washington, but did not give a date.

Thanks Frank for posting!

While I realize that this game may be played at night, thus not generating a bunch of national attention due to its late start time, I still find the PAC 12 an appealing opponent. It's a P5 league that does not play an ultra physical brand of football, unlike Army or for that matter Wisconsin, thus the potential of the contest being a "body bag" game and the associated injuries with such are minimized.

As a recruit, I would think I would be intrigued by the prospect of traveling and playing on the West coast. My opinion only, but I think this beats the hell out of traveling six miles west to the Big House.

More games added: Home against Howard in 2023, home against St. Francis in 2024, and at Michigan State in 2026.

It’s beautiful to not have to worry about an Army game for at least 4 more seasons.

Two things I've noticed and LIKE! EDIT: THREE things.

Generally, it looks like 2 OOC home games each year.

And the P5 OOC games don't look too bad. We avoid Alabama, Clemson, OSU, etc.

Also looks like the new rule of thumb is two OOC game in September (one is Oct 1. in the year 2022). Obviously, EMU would like two home games in both Sept, and Oct. owing to the fact that cool weather comes to MI early.

2022 MIGHT be great if the MAC gives us a home game September 24. That would be 3 home games by October 1, when the weather in MI is perfect for FB.

Two payday games in 2022. CC current contract expires after 2022 season I believe.

2022 is Louisiana. Not LSU.

Louisiana is home and home.

Wonder if Weatherbe has tried to schedule UM. It would not surprise me if UM is reluctant to play EMU.

100% Samuel!

That previous agreement with Army was reached within the Gragg administration and Christian Spears could not stop whining about it. I don't blame him.

Those "body bag" games where superior athletes injure opponents are actually more likely to occur when you play Army where cut blocking is the norm and the play is just plain 100% physical. It is a no brainer to play P5 teams populated with athletes possessing incredible speed and agility, get your brains bet out on the scoreboard and go home reasonably healthy with a BIG paycheck.

NOBODY wanted to play Army this year in a bowl game either. People talk about the reluctance of opponents to the "Murphy Zone", that pales in respect to playing Army in football.

Exactly. Not to mention we have 3 times as many wins against Big Ten opponents as we do against Army in the last 10 years. They own us, and it’s awful football to watch. The pandemic has been awful, but at least it took Army away from us. 04-cheers
