Granted the "2020 season" was a strange one with very limited opportunities for out of conference play and some teams playing combo fall/spring seasons, you'll see below that the Texas institutions coming into the league represent four of the top six schools in the RPI from 2020.

Based on what SFA has released of their 2021 schedule, the league is going to play a double round robin within the division. In SFA's case, that includes the three other new Texas schools, UTRGV and Chicago State which gives the Jacks a total of 10 league games.

Home games vs McNeese, Grambling - games are regional otherwise including at Rice, LSU, A&M, Louisiana Tech with a neutral site exhibition in Frisco vs Mizzou. The Abilene Christian/Chicago State road swing sounds like fun. Probably best served to drive the 2 1/2 hours from Abilene to Dallas to get a direct flight up to Chicago.

They did the preseason poll by divisions… is that you are saying, Todor? How can they be number one in the WAC? It’s an interpretation… but they are ultimately competing for the division crown during regular season so sorta makes sense

The only WAC games in women's soccer are within the division (home-and-home). Unlike VB, no crossover play and no crossover divisional play until the tournament which I presume will pit W1 v E4, W2 v E3, W3 v E2 and W4 v E1 in the opening round?

I suppose the no crossover format is to save on travel costs.

Correct.

Soccer is more of a challenge than volleyball where you can essentially run a multi-day invitational or two.

Men's and women's basketball are only sports with non limited to division conference play. Volleyball has a crossover. Every other sport limited to postseason or lacks a regular season schedule (i.e. XC, golf).
