RE: Season End Simulations [Upd: Alabama loses to Georgia?]
Oof. Alabama loses to Georgia but stays in the 4th spot. Not only does this shut out 1-loss OK State (who closed the season with back-to-back victories over the Sooners, but it sets up another quick-rematch between Georgia and the Tide.

New Years Six

27-24 // #6 Michigan St (10-2) vs. #11 Oregon (11-2) (Rose)
29-28 // #9 Cincy (12-1) vs. #10 Pitt (11-2) (Peach)
17-52 // #7 UTSA (13-0) vs. #12 Michigan (9-3) (Fiesta)
Final Four
10-20 // #1 Georgia vs. #4 Alabama
41-31 // #2 Ohio St vs. #3 Notre Dame
National Championship
39-27 // #2 Ohio State vs. #3 Alabama

Alabama upsets the Bulldogs but it is Ohio State who takes home the hardware. Almost a shame we didn't get to see Georgia play a top team outside the Southeast. Small note: UTSA goes 13-0 but shows they don't really belong by letting Harbaugh's team score 52. Peach Bowl and Rose Bowl look exciting.

RE: Season End Simulations [Upd: Do Irish have easiest path?]
Sim 125. What happened? Virginia beat Pitt and VT and is now a game away from the (likely) Peach Bowl. Wisconsin and Ohio State both won out and once again face off in the BTCCG. OK State won Bedlam and Baylor won out, giving the Bears a chance at redemption and the Sugar Bowl; the 1-loss Cowboys may (?) have playoff hopes. Cincinnati blasted SMU by 25 yet lost by a touchdown to East Carolina; yuck. Oregon beat Utah by 11 but lost by a point to Oregon State.

Notre Dame? For the second straight week of sims, they are sitting pretty at 11-1 and in the Top 4. Do the Irish have one of the easiest paths to the playoff? Does #6 OK State (or #5 Wake, for that matter) have the ability to jump the Irish? Georgia likely has the easiest, not even needing to beat the Crimson Tide; note the ACC surpassed the SEC in strength by this sim season's end.

RE: Season End Simulations [Upd: Do Irish have easiest path?]
I suppose an easy final ranking from which to choose 4 teams; 4 P5 teams with 1 or fewer losses. Last week we saw 11-2 Alabama box out 12-1 OK State, but this week it seems Wake Forest was able to jump the Tide in a similar situation. This time Alabama beat Arkansas and Auburn by a combined 9 points, so the 15-point loss to Georgia was more of a KO than a title-bout between equals.

Final Top 20 and CCGs
#1 (13-0) Georgia (W 36-21 vs. Alabama)+0
#2 (12-1) Ohio St (W 34-31 vs. Wisconsin)+0
#3 (12-1) Wake Forest (W 26-13 vs. Virginia)+2
#4 (11-1) Notre Dame (X)-1
#5 (10-2) Michigan St (X)+2
#6 (10-2) Michigan (X)+2
#7 (11-2) Alabama (L 21-36 vs. Georgia)-3
#8 (13-0) UTSA (W 60-14 vs. WKU)+1
#9 (10-2) Ole Miss (X)+1
#10 (11-2) Baylor (W 33-17 vs. OK State)+3
#11 (11-2) OK State (L 17-33 vs. Baylor)-5
#12 (11-2) Oregon (W 32-20 vs. Utah)+3
#13 (10-2) Oklahoma (X)+1
#14 (9-4) Wisconsin (L 31-24 vs. Ohio St)-3
#15 (12-1) Houston (W 28-13 vs. Cincinnati)+4
#16 (8-4) Purdue (X)+2
#17 (10-2) BYU (X)-1
#18 (11-2) Cincinnati (L 13-28 vs. Houston)-6
#19 (9-3) NC State (X)-2
#20 (9-3) Texas A&M (X)+0
#26 (11-2) App St (W 19-16 vs. Louisiana)+3
#38 (10-3) Utah St (W 23-20 vs. Fresno St)+9
#57 (9-4) Northern Illinois (W 45-17 vs. Kent St)+2

New Years Six
27-20 // #5 Michigan St (10-2) vs. #12 Oregon (11-2) (Rose)
23-7 // #7 Alabama (11-2) vs. #10 Baylor (11-2) Sugar)
37-10 // #6 Michigan (10-2) vs. #9 Ole Miss (10-2) (Peach)
20-29 // #8 UTSA (13-0) vs. #11 OK State (11-2) (Fiesta)
Final Four
34-21 // #1 Georgia (13-0) vs. #4 Notre Dame (11-1)
44-24 // #2 Ohio St (12-1) vs. #3 Wake Forest (12-1)
National Championship
29-21 // #1 Georgia (14-0) vs. Ohio St (13-1)

UTSA actually put up a fight in the NY6 game. The Big Ten went 3-0, but then Georgia pulled out a victory over Ohio State in the National Championship. Satisfying conclusion to the season.
