That wouldn't surprise me either. Short-sighted themselves and had no plan B.

You could see he was frustrated that he wasn't them man. Hard for a coach to overcome that during the season you have to prepare the kid early in the relationship... But if you are honest with the kids you probably don't get him. Kind of a catch 22

That's true. It was also an abnormal season with little summer workouts and little preseason practice. So his development (so much needed) was in-season and on-the-fly.

And because he hasn’t picked another team yet he’s not getting it this year either.

Florida State makes sense. They've done well lately on the court, and getting guys to the NBA.
Creighton is the Miller connection. But is that REALLY a better situation to prepare you for the NBA?
Georgia - sure Tom Crean is known for being a warm, fuzzy coach who let players do whatever and get as much PT as they want. Makes little sense.
Okie State is fine and seems to be on the right track. Again, is it a better NBA prep situation than Memphis?

Cincy. With a new coach and the rocky culture he inherited, it's certainly not a great situation. They need players, so he probably gets PT. But it would be a slap in Penny's and his former teammates' faces. But I hope he picks them. Penny certainly knows his weaknesses. Would be fun seeing him try to defend pick and roll, and get fouled every time he touches the ball.

It is a continuation of the kid getting bad advice from predators that are in a hurry to get paid.

Yeah, that's my understanding. "Grown-ups" have invested in him to move him from Africa to NY to Memphis. They have put him in private schools and hired trainers. Now they want to get paid.

Yes, Cade needed so much development, too. Imagine what they can do for Cissee, especially since he and Cade have the same style and abilities and both needed roughly the same development. Pfft

I've improved doing a lot of the simple things."

Maybe he should have worked this hard when he was at Memphis

Realizing that you aren't good enough is an eye opener for a lot of kids.

In HS it likely was tough to convince him he wasn't good enough.

now that is funny right there

most of the time, these players' words come from the coaching staff's recruiting script

Penny does it well
