Anyone familiar with BROKEN BOW, OKLAHOMA?
Good afternoon ladies and gents, I just booked a vacation in Broken Bow, Ok in late July with the family and was hoping to get some insider tips, info, etc on Broken Bow Lake activities and things to do around there.

Any locals on these boards or peeps who have vacationed there in the past want to provide any knowledge, feel free to drop them in this thread!

The only thing we've done so far besides booking our cabin, is we booked a pontoon boat rental for a full day on Broken Bow Lake. So I'd love to hear any cool stories of great places to drop anchor and swim, fish, etc that maybe are off the beaten path.

Other than that, we are wide open planning wise for the rest of our weeklong stay.

Just some Cajuns looking to have some nice outdoors fun! Who can help a guy out?!

Don't know much about Broken Bow. Been there only once and that was a long time ago. I remember it was a beautiful place. A lot like the Ozarks in Arkansas. It is popular, and the lake is great. I'm not a big fisherman but the fishing should be good. We mostly hike the trails. Not a lot to do there other than rural outdoor stuff. No city slicker stuff. Don't know about internet connections, we were there before internet came along.

This story is gross so please do not read further if you get queasy.

I went about 14 years ago for a few days with my college soccer team on a pre-season "fitness camp." It was brutal but a fun place to be during non-workout times. Everyone I went with with still remembers one player on our team drinking the powdered milk at the camp cafeteria. He got sick about 2AM and while running down the ladder from our cabin, he couldn't hold it in. He was only like a foot or two from another teammates head and threw up directly on his face and hair.
