Moody is probably about the same as Ziaire, but Bouknight got the ready to go now skills.

He's only on strike one.

Not one post in this thread called either one superstars.

Justice Winslow

More than that Jae Crowded has been a legitimate stud since that trade but I still like this front office. The Suns fans certainly love him in Phoenix.

I think our man at 10 was Giddey, and Zaire Williams is kind of in the same mould. Our front office has evidently been studying Williams for a couple of years and they believed he is a high character who will bounce back from a disappointing year.

He did have a couple of triple doubles I believe so there is reason to be optimistic about Williams upside. He has a down year shooting the ball, but its a 80% free throw shooter.

I don't know about Aldama at 30 but we have had good luck with big men from Spain. He looks to be a double double guy who likes to play close to the basket, but istill appears to be a bit of a project.

Too bad we didnt pick up Luke Garza via a trade with one of our many trade options. I can't believe he fell so far and the Grizz didnt go after him.

I don't know if any of these decisions are mistakes by our front office, but they look somewhat questionable in that we may have overpaid for both picks. I get passing on Bouknight with all of our guards, but Moses Moody? Idk, that's really who Zaire Williams will be graded against. We need a dynamic wing, hopefully Zaire becomes that guy.

We needed another big men to develop and give us some future minutes as JJJ is notorious for his foul problems and I doubt Adams will be on this team for his next contract. (I like Adams but hey is overpaid and this trade likely finished our Winslow experiment)

Still cant believe we didnt make a play late for Garza. He would have been our best shooter and floor stretcher for Ja and Dylan.

I'm not a GM and I hope my instincts are wrong but this draft seems unimpressive. Hopefully we did our due diligence on these guys, I think we did on Zaire Williams and he might have been gone at 17, Idk

Go Grizz!

RE: 2021 NBA Draft
Anyone think Ziaire Williams will fall somewhere between and Rudy Gay/Hakim Warrick type player and production?

I hope he can be more like a poor man’s Paul George/Tobias Harris.

Isn’t Rudy basically a poor mans Paul George/Tobias Harris?

Rudy best season he put up 20 pts and 6rbs. I would be thrilled if Williams could do that plus some solid defense

Rudy was a ball stopper. Zaire will not be.

Rudy was a ball stopper on offense only though. They seem to think Zaire will be a really good defender
