RE: Littleson to Workout With the Pistons
Article on Littleson and the Pistons.

https://pistonpowered.com/2021/06/19/pis...littleson/

That escalated quickly, as now people seem to be talking about him as a dark horse draft pick. Kinda hard for me to believe that, but wouldn't that be something.

Great defense, great shooter, good size, and a good decision maker. It would be great to see him drafted. All the best Spencer.

per the analytics he was one of the best players in college basketball last season while usually guarding the other team's best perimeter player.

Who scored about ten points or higher than their season average Akron (LC Jackson), Ohio (Sears Fr, Pearson), while keeping assists consistent.

On paper, guarding the other team's best doesn't seem something to put on the resume. One-on-one, the MACs best are probably going around him. He's not a small guy, Preston being the one of comparible measure. Things not there are the contributions to team defense, passes redirected, timely RBs and steals.

It seems to me, so apples and oranges what he was asked to do for UT and those skills that will transfer higher. I'm glad he's getting noticed but I think it's more his b-ball IQ, anticipation, tenacity, willing to do what the team needs that will be his strengths. Well, and his shot.

RE: Littleson to Workout With the Pistons
main point is with guarding the other team's best player is that he is working really hard on defense and still shooting 47% from 3. the fact that he is making shots while impacting the game with high level effort is a good trait. for role players the NBA is often a 2 skill league. You need to do 2 things well. for example, defend and make 3s.

I suppose, even though that defense doesn't seem to have resulted in good numbers. I don't recall him actually spending his main effort on ball though. I saw his defensive efforts elsewhere, disrupting the flow into the paint. I hope you're right.

Even though it didn't result in the big prize, last season was a blast.

Littleson following Knapke to Belgium, signing with Hubo Limburg United.

Presumably, that has an out if he gets drafted by the NBA? I don't really know how the Euro contracts typically work.

As I'm not a huge NBA fan but get really enthused when kids get to go out and see the world, my glass if darn near full when our players get this opportunity. Of course if one of ours actually gets into the NBA, I imagine NBA stock will rise a bit for me.

Littleson is getting the Storm Norton travelogue treatment. What an exciting time for him.

Wow. Of all the guys we’ve had I wouldn’t have thought Spencer would be one getting NBA looks. Congrats!

Iʻve actually been promoting his NBA potential for a couple years, simply because the NBA is a 2 skill league for role players and he does 2 things very well-defend and shoot 3s. Add to that the fact he has decent size, athleticism, and a great competitive spirit and he feels like a guy who could find a home as a backup 3 and D guard in the league. I mean if itʻs a pickup up game you pick Marreon Jackson first, but if you need a reliable role player to slot in among some stars Spencer is a great fit.
