SLU has added a home game against UAB in December and it’s part of a stretch of Saturdays that will see the Billikens play – not sure of the order – Auburn, Boston College and UAB.

Yes, a good quality road game for UAB.

I remember well AK dropping 41 on the Billikens as a player. Hope he's still got the mojo against them from the sidelines.

Saint Louis and Dayton are old conference opponents that it'd be great to play semi-regularly again. As long as UAB is playing at a high level, these are good non-con games for each other.

Good game to pick up. We will have a lot of solid, potentially resume-building, games on this schedule. It's on us to go out and handle business.

I used to love the games against SLU when Charlie Spoonhour was the head coach. He was funny. He did a good job at SLU. Seems like he and Coach Bartow had a good relationship. They won a few but I recall the Blazers putting a few bigtime beatdowns on the Billikens back in the old Great Midwest and early C-USA days.

This is exactly the type of game I’ve been begging for us to play for years. I don’t care if we go .500 out of conference with this type of schedule, it’s way more impressive than whatever we have been doing in recent years. If we don’t make the tournament next year it won’t be because our schedule held us down.

Oh god...I very well might have to block you. Spoonhour was a good man and, as such, I imagine he and Bartow had a good relationship, but I hated Spoonball. Hate to admit it but there were many SLU games I just checked the boxscore afterwards.

One of those games I’ve wanted see renewed for awhile.

This OOC schedule is incredible . I'm just hoping we can get one more decent home game. Hopefully someone in the KenPom top-150, then it would be perfect.

Would love to see several H&H coming up over the next few years with solid A-10, Missouri Valley, American, MAC teams.
It'd make a world of difference to the numbers to trade off 2-3 weak NC games for even mid-level compettion.

Identify a pool of potential opponents from the leagues ranked 8-20 and dig in there.

It was supposed to be a league wide strategy, requiring non-conference schedules to be approved by the conference with monetary reduction penalties for schools not in compliance. The weak leadership in Dallas never followed through.

These are the kind of games ive been wanting UAB to add since realignment.
