SEC, ACC will never stop scheduling the 1st game or midseason cupcakes like Citadel or Presbyterian. They already have the SOS if they have 1-2 losses at most. Wins will offset it.

It's a practice game to have them get healthy, drop a few buck and help a program out.

For a MAC school, you will need to go undefeated and then hope you played a couple T25 OC teams, have at least another 1-2 strong MAC teams you played.

And then hope you beat out the other 5 G5. Don't count on it.....ever.

Yeah, a Mac team has to hope for a bad season out of the AAC and MWC teams to have a shot unless they’re undefeated. Undefeated kinda trumps all things because we love the mystery of “undefeated” as sports fans. But any losses for a Mac team is almost elimination unless the AAC champ has maybe 3 or more losses.

Need to win more of those so-called minor bowl games. With all the great seasons past, NIU is 0-5 post-BCS Orange.

Especially the Quick Lane. Yeah, Detroit is not exactly holiday vacation city during December, but it's reachable and the game this year is vs. the Big10, the only guaranteed P5 on the bowl sked.

The MAC HQ can also do some things. E.g., use a multi-location travel agency to put together a vacation package to the Bahamas Bowl, then make it available to fans of whoever goes when it's announced. (Passports required). Butts in seats may not matter to ESPN, but looks good on TV. Might even be done with other bowls. Let the HQ get off its butt and do something for the fans, since it salad-forked the local fans with that TV contract.

-- Dec. 27 Quick Lane Detroit, Mich. MAC vs. Big Ten 11 a.m. (ESPN)
-- Dec. 25 Camellia Montgomery, Ala. MAC vs. Sun Belt 2:30 p.m. (ESPN)
-- Dec. 21 Frisco Frisco, Texas AAC, C-USA, MAC, MWC, Sun Belt 7:30 p.m. (ESPN)
-- Dec. 21 Famous Idaho Potato Boise, Idaho MAC vs. MWC 3:30 p.m. (ESPN)
-- Dec. 20 Myrtle Beach Conway, S.C. AAC, MAC, Sun Belt 2:30 p.m. (ESPN)
-- Dec. 18 Lending Tree Mobile, Ala. MAC vs. Sun Belt 5:45 p.m. (ESPN)
-- Dec. 17 Bahamas Nassau, Bahamas C-USA vs. MAC Noon (ESPN)
-- TBD Arizona Tucson, Ariz. MAC vs. MWC Time/TV TBD

(From cbssports.com, as of whenever I copied it)

General comments:
--- MAC has 5 for sure, six with the Arizona
--- Most prominent: Has to be the Quick Lane vs. Big Ten/P5.
--- Hardest to get to: Bahamas. Get those passports ready. Unbeatable pre-holiday vacation spot.
--- Most tradition with MAC: Idaho Potato. Blue field (ugh) and cold. But you get fries with that.
--- Best for golf on the side: Myrtle Beach (duh)
