Could be the same as what we've been seeing in other sports. Shamblin is from Lakeland.

I guess Rock isn't "retiring" after all.

I don’t know if getting a division 2 pitcher with an almost 8 era is hard work on the transfer portal

Everybody said that Rock should recruit locally - CBU is about as blouse to the university of Memphis as you can get - our football stadium is on their campus! (Almost)

If we’re not going to invest in the program, I really don’t see the point in firing him. A new coach may make a splash the first couple of years (as Rock did), but the lack of program investment would catch up to him quickly (as it did Rock). We need to decide what kind of program we want before worrying about a new coach. Of course, that’s just my opinion.

My guess would be a check, made out to the Memphis athletic department for the amount of his remaining contract, along with some additional funds for the new hire.

Cut a check for $500,000 and you could probably force him out and have a say in the new hire.

The lamest argument.

$500,000 Mike Norvell buyout
$500,000 Supposed Rock buyout

Immediately lowers the staff ERA at both schools?
Seriously, I didn't look at the guy's numbers, just assumed he was moving up in comp due to excelling at his current level.

No thank you. I'm hoping he figures it out and wins BIG. I don't want another Larry Finch deal.

What if we get the football version of Justin Fuente? You need to show a pulse before anyone will put money into it.

I wasn't making an "argument". Unlike you, my life doesn't revolve around "winning arguments' on a message board, because I'm not a complete loser.

I was simply saying that money talks. Maybe I should have said $200,000, but everyone with half a brain got my point. I'm sorry that you did not.

Anyone with half a brain knows that there is a massive difference between $200,000 and $500,000, and it's a dumb argument regardless of the amount.

Your life clearly revolves around me. 80% of your posts mention me. The Wiseman thread is typical. Most of the time you don't even make a feeble attempt to talk about the content of the thread; just crying like a little baby about how mean I am.

Says the loser who replies to EVERYBODY'S posts. Arguing EVERYTHING. Even with dudes that have inside knowledge, on topics you know NOTHING about. You're 100% right...the Wiseman thread is typical of your ignorance and idiocy, which I pointed out, instead of talking content, because I don't know. Unlike you, who doesn't know, but tries to argue with someone who has inside knowledge.

But yeah, keep "setting everyone straight" and "winning". The fact is that neither of us know the amount it would take to buyout/change baseball coaches, because neither of us know the money situation within the Memphis athletic department.

You need to manage your anger. Stalking and AUP violating name calling is going to catch up to you. Staying in your lane and limiting your posts to fishing and parking will make you less susceptible to ridicule.
