Grim Reaper can't walk faster than 3 miles per hour
A study of over a thousand men age 70 and up was used to calculate the walking speed of the Grim Reaper. It appears that if you can walk at least at an average pace of 3 mph for 6 minutes the Grim Reaper will never catch you. Of course, if you walk under that take the advice to never look back. Just don't stop is the key.

I still jog my hour every day- and while the distance has dropped considerably over the last 50 years, still get four miles in and you can count the days I don't run a year on one hand because you really don't get sick very often.

Over 40 years ago crossed paths with a math professor at UM, his wife and daughter who ran on the campus at Arkansas State. He commuted to Memphis everyday because his wife had a restaurant in Jonesboro. He is a year or two older , and he encouraged me to log my miles, been doin so every since.

Last talked to him just before the COVID shut down the health club in Jonesboro where we run when weather prevents us from getting outside and he was still doing 3 miles a day. Have not seen him since they reopened.

Said he was # eight in the world in some running club, and thinks I have more miles than him, and apparently the Grim Reaper.
