CC signed a professional softball contract recently. Got me to thinking about what that meant from a financial perspective. Apparently, not much. It's more like, what will she do to support herself while playing the sport she loves?

But what make's playing for the USSSA Pride better than the other teams is they can work for the USSSA organization in some capacity to supplement their salary.
Also, the better money is playing overseas.

She's a big celebrity now, just make her the new face of Nike to go along with the softball contract!

While I've come to enjoy watching the ladies play, I've never seen a pro-softball game and have never heard a friend mention they've been to one. With that in mind, it should be understandable why salaries are what they are.
