No. I have a feeling teams with resumes like that will be “unlucky #13” going forward! So close, you almost made it this time!

Right—being ranked 12 or 13 without a conference crown means you’re probably on the outside looking in—for sure for 13. 12 is only ok if there are 6 champs in the top 11 (which only happened in 6 of those 16 years.)
