Don’t get me wrong, I love bowl games but some of the bowl sites are pretty pedestrian and attendance has been lacking in recent years.

I’m also aware that ESPN Events owns and operates a lot of bowls and their parent company also owns a bunch theme parks you might have heard of in a little resort town called Orlando, which has 3 stadiums that seat over 25K.

So let’s bring a bunch of those games to Orlando. There’s plenty of hotel rooms and restaurants, the weather is nice, there’s plenty of other entertainment for all ages. You also have the opportunity to catch multiple bowl games over the course of a week.

I think this could be a huge success and reinvigorate the post season outside of the CFP.

What’s the consensus from all of you?

I'm game! I was at the 1998 Citrus Bowl (Penn State/Florida).

Camping World Stadium currently hosts three bowls (Citrus, Cheez It, and Cure). The Cheez It has been December 28 or 29 recently. If they moved the Cure to a different stadium it could be December 30 or 31 between the Cheez It and Citrus. There's no reason for the Cure to be in Camping Word, the most they've had was 27,213 and that was with UCF in the bowl. I'd love to see an Orlando triple with SEC/Big Ten (Citrus), ACC/Big Ten, and ACC/SEC. The Big Ten can dump Phoenix. Disney or Desert?

Sheer number of stadia doesn't drive interest. The Dallas-Ft. Worth area has as many as seven college-capable stadia within 30 mins. of each other (Jerry World, Globe Life (the former ballpark redone for football), Amon Carter (TCU), Ford (SMU), The Star (Frisco), Toyota (Frisco), and the Cotton Bowl) and the weather isn't appreciably cooler in ORL in September than in Dallas. In the end it's who's playing, not where, which is why so many of the December bowls are dying.

I was pointing out the capacity to host multiple games due to available venues combined with nice weather and lots of entertainment options and lodging availability.

yes, DFW has more stadia but I think Orlando excels in all those other categories mentioned.

Star is too small (12K).

Its a football festival though right? If I'm there to watch football then I'm probably not going to Disney World.
