Agreed, but the ugly truth is there was never a reason for restrictions past the initial spread from March to May last year. HCQ was readily available and cheap.

"The Big Lie" is close to being fully exposed. The only remaining questions is whether or not the media will do their job and exposes ANYBODY with a hand in using covid to effectively shut down the world.

I firmly believe this was intentional. It was meant to drag the US down, to end our status as the superpower, as a means to ease a more centralized global government - "The Great Reset". DJT beating HRC threw a huge monkey wrench in the global elitist plans and had been re-elected it would have set their agenda an goals back decades.

I think you greatly overestimate the competence of that paranoid organization known as the ccp

I wouldn't be surprised if the left wouldn't blame Trump for saying it and then making them doubt him because he is so evil.

RE: New Study: Hydroxychloroquine touted by Trump increased COVID survival rates by 200%
Anyone calculated the confidence interval with a sample size of 37 and a population of 2.2M (hospitalized covid patients)?

It isn’t going to be good.

I also don’t see demographic breakdowns on the 18 or 19 patients that they declare positive outcomes for compared to the study overall sample. I didn’t see treatment protocol data, there may be selection bias that changes the numbers for their “high dose pool”. Hell, one factor could be survivorship bias, people who lived longer took more HCQ over time, so the fact they lived longer drove them to be in the “high cumulative dosage” pool of patients and not the other way around. The segregation of “high cumulative dose” patients into a separate statistical pool like this is ripe for selection bias with the tiny sample size.

Anyway observational studies tell you what to study further, controlled clinical trials tell you what works. The controlled trials conducted for HCQ haven’t shown positive outcomes for HCQ patients.

Kind of ironic given that the CDC is now having an emergency meeting over heart inflammation and both mRNA vaccines, yet HCQ wasn't safe due to a risk of heart issues:

Keep looking Elvis,

Long Island has one I believe, and other aggregate studies appear to be right in line.

What did I lie about here?

I merely linked an article...one that's actually favorable to the study linked in the OP for the most part...which correctly cited the fact that the publisher of the study publishes preliminary reports and that this particular one was not peer reviewed.

Perhaps you should borrow UofM's dictionary as you clearly have no concept of what a lie or a fact is?

Lies come in many forms. In this instance, you (not just you specifically, but all progressives generally) were ideologically dishonest. Facts about the effectiveness of hcq, which warranted a fair assessment, were disregarded in order to mount a political attack against the orange idiot.

A small-time, short-term political gain, but at the cost of the long-term erosion of progressive credibility. That's how lies work.

Worst of all, you've given ammunition to those touting Donald Trump as a credible person. He's not. But in the binary context of social media, he is far more credible than the progressive wing. That is the real harm in what you've done, and now you're stuck with it.

DROP THE MIC!

Tom read this post multiple times until the lightbulb finally goes off. You surely will not understand it after only 2 or 3 attempts.

Monarch absolutely nailed it here! This is why you are just as (if not more so) dishonest as Trump.

If the evidence is out there (randomized placebo controlled clinical trail) post it. The study posted by the op isn’t it.

https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jama/fu...2020.22240

“Findings In this randomized clinical trial that included 479 hospitalized adults with respiratory symptoms from COVID-19, the distribution of the day 14 clinical status score (measured using a 7-category ordinal scale) was not significantly different for patients randomized to receive hydroxychloroquine compared with placebo (adjusted odds ratio, 1.02).”

https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jamanet...le/2779044

Findings In this trial that included 685 patients, rates of COVID-19–associated hospitalization in patients treated with hydroxychloroquine or lopinavir-ritonavir were not significantly different compared with those who received placebo.

https://www.who.int/emergencies/diseases...treatments

The Solidarity Trial published interim results on 15 October 2020. It found that all 4 treatments evaluated (remdesivir, hydroxychloroquine, lopinavir/ritonavir and interferon) had little or no effect on overall mortality, initiation of ventilation and duration of hospital stay in hospitalized patients.

Yes, the sample size is small. However, I have no doubt that even it was larger, and peer reviewed, the left would still discredit it because Trump.

If so, the problem is trump, not the left.

There was no data affirming this drug at the time he made it! Hell it took well over a year to get one small study to even claim it was. Much like his claim that a lab released the virus. Sure, maybe he was right, but at the time he provided no data to affirm that and his own DNI was saying the opposite. Also, he was praising China and Xi at the same time for handling it well!

The guy is just not credible. If you recall, he was privately telling Woodward how dangerous the virus was at the same time he was telling the public it was just a flu that would magically disappear by Easter with warmer weather.

He. Is. Not. Credible.

You give me and/or progs in general WAY too much credit here. And if you recall, trump's own FDA pulled the EUA of the drug a month after granting it.

As I stated in my post prior to this, trump not being credible is the main reason why he was not given a fair assessment in your opinion. And I'm being honest...I actually thought/hoped that trump would change once he became president. I was wrong.

There were numerous doctors here and overseas who claimed this in conjunction with zinc had some effect.

Do you label Fauci as not credible as he was saying mask were not effective early on?

Must suck to continue to say he was not credible when much of what he was saying about this and other things continues to be shown correct.
