RE: Bam!
When I played golf at Rice, we used to play in a tournament at LSU every spring. We had a pretty good relationship with the LSU team, and got invited to some pretty good frat parties while we were there. I remember waking up in Opelousas at 6 am, with no idea how I got there, except that it probably had something to do with the young lovely on the other side of the bed, and an 8:00 tee time in Baton Rouge. Made it by the skin of my teeth. Hit my first tee shot into the middle of a street that was across a double railroad track from the 10th tee of the LSU golf course. We played 27 holes, and I was 3 over the rest of the way, but have no idea how I did it.

RE: Bam!
Quote:Fourteen-year-old Jolene Grover went to a school board meeting wearing a “Woman is Female” t-shirt to call out her district for prioritizing “boys’ wants over girls’ needs” in its new transgender policies. The eighth-grader joins teachers and parents in fighting Loudoun County, Virginia’s proposed policies that would allow students to use whichever locker room corresponds with their self-described gender identity rather than their biological sex.

During her speech at a school board meeting, Grover argued the new policies are “dangerous and rooted in sexism” and could lead to harassment or assault, exclaiming, “You do this in the name of inclusivity while ignoring the girls who will pay the price.” She further noted the existing harassment and bad behavior by junior high boys, telling the board, “Now, boys are reading erotica in the classroom next to girls, and you want to give them access to girls’ locker rooms.”

“Two years ago, I was told policy 1040 was just an umbrella philosophy and you weren’t going to allow boys into the girls’ locker rooms,” Grover said of the proposed change. “But here you are doing just that.”

“Everyone knows what a boy is — even you,” Grover continued, pushing back against the idea that identity is ever-changing. “When woke kids ask me if I was a lesbian or a trans boy because I cut my hair short, it should tell you these modern identities are superficial.”

Last year, due to potentially harmful policies considered in the school district, Grover’s concerned mother took her out of the Loudoun County public school system and has been homeschooling her. Grover joins many Loudoun County residents standing against the school district’s radical proposed policies in the aftermath of gym teacher Tanner Cross’s suspension and reinstatement for his stated refusal to “lie to students” about whether boys can be girls.

RE: Bam!
Quote:Fellow teachers and parents rallied around Loudoun County school district physical education instructor Tanner Cross after the school board suspended him for saying his Christian faith kept him from misleading children about choosing their “gender identity.”

“Where is your regard for our freedom of speech?” Rachel Pisani, a mother of three, said at Tuesday’s meeting. “When I saw a teacher express an opinion and suspended for expressing his religious beliefs, I could no longer stay silent.

“When did it become acceptable to be tolerant only when someone expresses a view that we agree with?” Pisani said. “When did it become appropriate to silence those that hold Christian, biblical views just because you don’t? When did it become appropriate to allow the school board – I don’t know who you think you are – but it is not appropriate, it is not allowable to silence, bully, or dismiss our views.”

Fox News reported on the drama, including a teacher who compared the board to the violent anarchist group Antifa:

At one point Tuesday, teacher Jeremy Wright, who previously called the school board fascists, left what he said was a copy of the First Amendment on the podium. “For the members of Chardonnay Antifa, here is your assignment with a copy of the First Amendment attached,” said Wright before holding up a packet of paper. “I’m going to leave this here and I hope you learn something.”

Another female told the board: “Even being threatened with termination for simply speaking one’s opinion creates a culture of fear and silence – and this does not help anyone on either side of the aisle.”

Teacher Monica Gill told the board its suspension of Cross and other actions “resemble totalitarianism, not the Constitution.” She added that “first and foremost, I am a Christian. What is most important? We live in truth, not lies. We look at character, not skin color. We love our lord and we love others. Know this – We will not yield. We will not let you have our souls or the souls of our children.”

On Tuesday, a judge issued a temporary injunction against Loudoun County Public Schools for violating Cross’s 1st Amendment rights and ordered for the teacher to be reinstated.

In his remarks to the board, Cross referred to the draft policy 8040, which required Loudoun staff to use children who claim to be transgender preferred pronouns.

“LCPS staff shall allow gender-expansive or transgender students to use their chosen name and gender pronouns that reflect their gender identity without any substantiating evidence, regardless of the name and gender recorded in the student’s permanent educational record,” the draft reads.

“School staff shall, at the request of a student or parent/legal guardian, when using a name or pronoun to address the student, use the name and pronoun that correspond to their gender identity. The use of gender-neutral pronouns are appropriate. Inadvertent slips in the use of names or pronouns may occur; however, staff or students who intentionally and persistently refuse to respect a student’s gender identity by using the wrong name and gender pronoun are in violation of this policy.”

Another proposed policy, 8350, stated that LCPS staff “shall allow gender-expansive and transgender students to participate in such activities in a manner consistent with the student’s gender identity.”

Some speakers also spoke out against including Critical Race Theory in school curriculum.

“The district has denied teaching CRT, but recent information has raised questions about the role it plays in the district’s decision-making,” Fox News reported. “LCPS held an equity workshop last week as part of its response to the ongoing controversy engulfing the county. During that talk, Barts seemed to acknowledge that CRT influenced LCPS policy.”

Fox News reported that documents obtained by the Fight for Schools Political Action Committee indicated staff was taught the ideology. That included an invoice from The Equity Collaborative, which received nearly $500,000 from the county and contained a line item for “Coaching support for LCPS leaders – follow up meetings focused on Critical Race Theory Development May 2020.”

RE: Bam!
A Mom Revolts After Elite School Shows Video That 'Tarred and Feathered' White Women

Quote:You don’t really see much tarring and feathering these days.

But in Manhattan recently, some kids allegedly got treated to a display of plastered plumage.

Metaphorically, that is.

By way of a video.

And some parents are fed up.

As relayed by the New York Post, the elite Spence School is in hot water after a teacher showed kids an episode of TV-MA Showtime program Ziwe.

The new show — hosted by a 29-year-old comedienne of the same name — features a mix of interviews and comedy skits.

Clearly, it’s comedy.

But school mom Gabriela Baron isn’t laughing.

Per Gabriela — who’s Hispanic — the Ziwe footage was shown to her daughter’s class on the $57,000+/year academy’s last day of school.

In response, she sent a letter to the school’s board of trustees insisting the video “openly deride[d], humiliate[d] and ridicule[d] white women.”

The episode welcomed writer guest Fran Lebowitz, to whom the host said, “I believe that you are not concerned with how annoying white women can be.”

And according to Gabriela’s fiery complaint, figure-of-speech feathers were afoot:

“[The kids] sat there in their graduation dresses while the white mothers of the white students – many of whom volunteer, donate, call, email and do whatever the school asks of them – were tarred and feathered in a video their teacher showed them. While their white female teachers were mocked.”

Ziwe also asked women named Karen how they felt about their name being associated with “obnoxious, angry and entitled, often racist white women.”

On top of that, the host read lyrics to Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion’s sexually explicit song “WAP” (see the “clean” version’s music video here).

Ziwe was reportedly played for 15 students — in an 8th grade history class.

Gabriela said she was pulling her kid from the Upper East Side institution due to the “blatantly racist” video and Spence’s obsession with political correctness.

Other parents are upset as well.

In the aftermath, Spence School Head Bodie Brizendine issued an email stating thusly:

“This video is not part of the Spence curriculum. Our teacher and the School acknowledge that sharing a satirical video that made fun of white women was a significant mistake. We take this seriously; it is never acceptable to ridicule anyone at any time, and this is contrary to everything we know about our mission. We fully trust the professionalism of our dedicated faculty, and we will be strengthening faculty protocols.”

Another mom — who recently pulled her daughter from Spence over “wokeness” — told the Post an apology letter’s a “step in the right direction.”

“I’m happy to see that someone is willing to apologize to white people.”

However, she added, “I think it stops short of calling it racism and canceling this teacher.”

The miffed mother said she’s “not in the business of canceling people,” but she does “question that if [the video] was against blacks or against Asians, if that teacher wouldn’t have been systematically fired.”

Is the ordeal over?

Not necessarily. As school head Bodie pointed out, Gabriela “shared [her] letter with many parents.”

Schools and parents used to have a relatively congenial relationship. Not anymore, it seems.

Across a range of topics, America’s educational institutions have chartered new territory.

And moms and dads appear increasingly not on board.

Here is a montage of parents.

RE: Bam!
THAT VIDEO shows me that there are still people with common sense and are not buying the Leftist agenda of separation and calling it CRT. This agenda is actually saying that the White Man is actually better than any other group solely based on skin color which is ludicrous and racist in itself.

I am very happy that at last we are speaking out against this CRT and calling it what it is, Racist. Let us live our lives without YOUR interference and leave your racist propaganda away from us and especially our children. You Leftist don't have a right to try to make me think like you. I'm 73 today and all these years I have not needed your help or to put it more bluntly...your BullSchiff.

Hooray for these parents and even some teachers who are finally had enough and are speaking out. We need more of them in every level of education and even our workplaces. Perhaps a walk out will make those CEOs see what they are doing and that it's not good.

This little girl is smarter than the Commie posters on this site. Bravo for her, bravo for her courage.

The ex-Brit US Patriot tore the school board a new Pelosi. This man is what we should be allowing to enter our country, those that come here because they love our country, and not to change it...like the Commies are trying to do.

Finally, the Lambs are becoming Lions. What's next, chingasos (war)?
