Larry Brown has never been subject to NCAA rules and restrictions. I can't fathom anyone from the university allowing him to wander unsupervised, "unofficially" around anyone. If we hire him, we do everything short of locking him up on campus and making him wear an ankle bracelet.

There are no words to describe how stupid that would be.

Penny is working with a skeleton staff right now. Adding the recruiting duties to the coaching duties you would think it would bring Larry Brown on sooner rather than later.

Not much can be done right now, and Brown likely won't be recruiting anyway. I agree that if Penny is going to replace JJ, then I'd prefer to see it sooner rather than later. But maybe the person already knows this and will use summer ball to work without the yoke of the NCAA.

LB will be fine as long as he becomes official before fall practice.

We need a strength and conditioning coach first IMHO. Part of our run last year allowed us to wear teams down. Our depth was good but conditioning was better. We will need someone just as good and hopefully better than Rich.

Agree on the priority for a good S&C guy. I was never sold on Rich. We didn't finish A LOT at the rim last year. We seemed weaker than most opponents. I attribute our full-game intensity more to coaching and depth, than to better conditioning.

I think we have a lot of upside with this position.

Interesting observation. I attributed that to a weak mind and not a weak body. But it's during weight training that you develop the strong mind that gives you the confidence to run through a brick wall.

Hopefully we see the gains from this position.

It simply has to be that everyone involved is waiting on the Penny-Orlando thing to settle out. All indications is that he has been fully approved.

Larry will be on campus with an ankle bracelet. Allowing him to recruit on the road (I doubt he wants that) would be idiotic.
