‘Don’t Be Alarmed At Low-Flying Helicopters’
Quote:The Democratic-controlled U.S. House of Representatives passed a bill last month that will provide $1.9 billion for “additional security measures” at the U.S. Capitol.

Now, U.S. Capitol Police are preparing for the “next” Capitol Hill “riot,” apparently.

Since the events of Jan. 6, over 440 individuals have been arrested on federal charges related to the breach of the building.

Early Monday morning, the Capitol Police took to Twitter to alert residents “do not be alarmed” at the influx of emergency and law enforcement vehicles and low flying helicopters as an active training exercise swarms the Capitol area.

“Please do not be alarmed if you see emergency vehicles and low flying helicopters,” USCP had first announced Saturday in preparation for the drill.
However, the “routine” exercise was described as also involving state, federal, and local agencies.

Eyewitnesses to Monday’s “routine exercise” described seeing military-style helicopters, which to most of the American public might seem anything but “routine.”

But it’s likely we will now witness more massive military-style “drills” in preparation for some kind of future “scare” or event.

Texas Republican Rep. Lance Gooden argued that Democrats would rather spend money on a wall ”around this building in D.C.” than they would on finishing a border wall advocated by Trump.

Some Democrats opposed the added security measures, as well.

Minnesota Democrat Rep. Ilhan Omar said just before the vote that she had “not been convinced of the importance of the money.”

The bill includes money for new fencing that would protect the grounds while removing the current perimeter.

The legislation says the money cannot be used to install permanent above-ground fencing.

Other improvements would be to better secure windows and doors, install new security vestibules and cameras, and protect members with increased security at home and in Washington, as threats against them have doubled in the last year.

But wait, there’s plenty of other “liberal goodies” in the bill.

The legislation renames a wellness program for Capitol Police as the Howard C. Liebengood Center for Wellness and adds mental health counselors and resilience specialists for trauma support.

Several Republicans have come out against Democrats recently passing a bill to create a commission to study the Jan. 6 mayhem at the U.S. Capitol.

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy came out Tuesday against the proposal to establish a 9/11-style commission to investigate the Jan. 6 protests.

“Given the political misdirections that have marred this process, given the now duplicative and potentially counterproductive nature of this effort, and given the Speaker’s shortsighted scope that does not examine interrelated forms of political violence in America, I cannot support this legislation,” McCarthy said in a written statement.

McCarthy slammed talks on the commission, as well as House Speaker Nancy Pelosi for her approach during negotiations.

“For months, the Speaker of the House refused to negotiate in good faith on basic parameters that would govern a commission to examine the January 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol,” McCarthy said.

Arizona GOP Rep. Paul Gosar claimed during a congressional hearing last week that “outright propaganda and lies are being used to unleash the national security state against law-abiding US citizens, especially Trump voters.”

Gosar described those who took part on Jan. 6 as “peaceful patriots” and Babbitt as a “veteran wrapped in the American flag” and “executed.”

The “real” insurrection, he claimed, was the FBI’s investigation into “Russia, Russia, Russia” following the 2016 elections.

Georgia GOP Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene called on Congress to investigate “BLM and Antifa” for “domestic terrorism.”

It's entirely not necessary. What happened on Jan. 6th was a joke.

If that's all Trump supporters can do there is no need for choppers.

Bug spray will do the trick.
