OMG...this is still terrible. And honestly, there once was an even worse video made that many hardcore Astate fans will remember (“The Back in Black” promo for the 2011 home game against the Cajuns). It was so bad, many national sports sites picked it up, mocking the video; unfortunately though it was quickly taken down and as far as I’m aware it is not active or posted anywhere so the incredibly awkward and cringe worthy “Red Wolves Rising” video has to take its place for now.

I don't think it's well done but it's not what I'd call cringe.

There is nothing in the world that will top it, even the famous App State Hot Hot Hot video from many moons ago doesn't hold a candle to it. This was back in a period where we were trying to increase community engagement, and started using well known Jonesboro residents in all of our marketing videos, forgetting none of them had any actual on camera experience.

Our worst one was having coaches talk about how no one cares about Gag St and how they aren't a rival and then we turned around and lost to them a couple days later. Such a fail!!!!!

Pretend your standing with a video camera in a doctors office, and for part of the video, you need said doctor to do an air guitar solo. He proceeds to find the only actual prop in the room, a complete model human skeleton, and decides to let the skeleton do the air guitar solo. In fact lets frame with a perfect waist up shot of the skeleton, and extend the air guitar to just below the bottom of the video, and while we're at it, let have the doctor try to mimic the facial expressions of a rock guitarist

All of that happened, it somehow made the final cut of the video, was released to our fanbase, and then promptly deleted when the student video editor likely realized he didn't need that on his resume.

It got shared a bunch, and we're very confident someone has a copy of it somewhere, but any time it pops up on youtube, it magically disappears.

The funny part is, 3 years prior to this video, I sat in a video production class at Arkansas State, and our professor, believe you not, pulled out a copy of the App State "Hot Hot Hot" video, and made us watch the dang thing over and over so we would recognize what a terrible promotional video looked like, and never do it ourselves.

Given the fact it was done in multiple classes, and our propensity for hiring recent grads to do our video stuff back then, there's a fair chance that the person who put that thing together likely sat through the App State lecture.

It's crazy how good it got scrubbed from the internet. Not putting too much effort into it, the only thing I could find at all was a reddit thread about bad marketing videos, and a UNT fan asked if anyone had seen our Back in Black video where a skeleton got a reach around.

Not sure what everyone is talking about. Hot Hot Hot absolutely slaps.
