I'm glad we didn't fumble the ball in our bowl game. And we won 3 bowl games in 4 years.

I was about to say, he kept saying we played a bowl game. I appreciate articles like this, but try to get all the facts straight.

Thought it was a solid analysis for someone not day-to-day familiar with the program. It's always interesting to see the expectations from folks who write on the national level. He missed on a few things but overall not bad. Truth is that it's better than we'll get from the local outlet. Sad that he has more knowledge about program than a person who calls himself a beat writer.

Maybe, but he's still guessing. And really, a single 15 minute conversation with the SID would go a long way to getting a feel for the program, and correcting some of those embarrassing mistakes. He has arguably our best returning player leaving, and somehow missed that our bowl game was not even played.
I hope our "beat writer" is not the standard by which we measure good reporting these days. The whole world of journalism has crashed and burned.

Pretty big mistake to have a team's most acclaimed player in terms of preseason and postseason honors, as well as a leading contender for conference defensive player of the year, to not be on a team you are predicting to win its division.
