RE: Best kick returner in the nation
He has the most return yards mostly as a result of having a defense with more holes than swiss cheese.

What is with the negativity? How about rejoicing number one anything in the country including Alabama Ohio State and the big boys

He’s electric on Kick Returns! Has nothing to do with NIU’s lack of defense. Cole Tucker has received a lot of punts(Not even near the top 25)

The Dog Pound includes posters who are No. 1 in negativity.

While saying it might be construed as negative, it is factually correct. Rudolph had 30 kick returns, which led the nation. His 23.9 yards per return was pretty pedestrian. He more than passed the eye test though, IMO, and was a step or two away from taking quite a few to the house. As a true freshman who was making the conversion from QB, he was very impressive. If he is the kick returned again in 2021 I would expect his average to jump up quite a bit as he will have a bigger, stronger and more experienced group of blockers around him. However, I would not be totally shocked if he isn't the #1 returner. He should have a bigger role on offense in year two and there are a lot of young and explosive players on the roster who wont have an opportunity to get touches on offense and using them in the return game is a good way to keep them involved and contributing.

Those of us media folks who worked with Mike Korcek and his staff in the old days, were often told the Huskie Stadium press box elevator was the second slowest in the country. When one writer asked are they sure it's not No. 1 (?), the answer was: "NIU's not allowed to be No. 1 in anything per MAC rules."
