Well Arkansas has lacked a #3 starter all year. It bit them today. Still it was their offense that let them down today. Congratulations to the Wolfpack they are this season's late bloomers. As to game one, early blowouts can hurt you more than help you as no matter how many you score it is only one win and makes you think you can score when you wish, which is always a lie.

ND just beat Mississippi State 9-1 to force Game 3 tomorrow night.

Well I'd say game 3 will likely be offensive which favors N.D.. State's advantage will be a deeper rotation. It will be interesting.

That's... stunning to me. I'd expect that #1 overall national seeds typically don't lack for a quality third starter.

I'm a fan of Vanderbilt, Memphis, Belmont, Middle Tennessee State and Tennessee State ... but today I give full props to the Tennessee Volunteers. Outstanding win over an LSU program with lots of tradition and resources. UT is legit.

All seeded except the 2 ACC schools in so far. And NCSU was #16 in the final baseball.com rankings.
