SEC baseball has become a big deal the past 10 to 15 years or so. Tennessee (a sleeping giant) is now packing its stadium. LSU has always drawn well. Florida fans get into it. Here in the South, we love America's pastime (but I enjoyed it when I lived in Chicago, too; go, Cubs!).

Not really and the Wolfpack burned their closer today, as did the Irish against MSSt. So playing at home with the Hogs player of the year closer only seeing minimal action today means tomorrow NC States bats are going to have to be real active. As for State they are fairly deep on pitching and both State and the Hogs will be playing in front of a packed home house. But it's baseball so it ain't over 'til it's over.

I agree fully that Arkansas is in a better position to close the series than N.C. State. But I do feel there is more pressure on the Hogs (thus my "pressure is now firmly on" comment) given 1. they were the heavy favorites and 2. they are playing in front of their fans. I want NCST to win so, I admit, I am biased.

USF with 3 in the top of the 9th to tie Texas 3-3. Going to bottom of the 9th tied.

A normally sure handed ND team committed four errors, leading to at least 3 MSU runs, in a 9-8 loss.

The hitting was good, and when up 7-3 looked to be enough, but those holes in the gloves did them in.

Like you said JR, ND burned its #1 starter and best reliever in this one. They booted their best shot at Omaha.

MSU hit those two late inning home runs and held ND to one run after the fifth inning. Hats off to them.

Texas defeats USF in the bottom of the 9th.
