Some folks can't comprehend that someone can be critical and still be a fan. But, my fandom isn't toward a coach. It's toward the name on the front of the jersey. I want to see MEMPHIS succeed. Period.

That's fair. With the addition of LB and the current roster, there is zero reason why this shouldn't be a great season. I'll shut my pie hole on Penny and let this season play out.

I agree.Hope this doesnt hurt on some of the recruits that was looking at Memphis.Coach Cal and others will use this against Hardawat saying he wants to leave for the NBA.Would have been great if hed not interviewed or at least said it was just a courtesy.Or said he was pulling out.And been nice had he not said he wants to be an NBA coach.Could have a winning season at Memphis next year or so and get a call to NBA.Tiger recruits may not feel like he has Memphis has top priority in the long haul.

I don't think it will hurt us with recruits. They talk to Penny and know that he is serious about building up the program and that is his number one priority.

Lets hope some deep NCAA runs are in the near future.

I'm fully sold that Penny is a very good college coach. I want him to stay here forever.

If he had left this fast I may not have recovered as a fan.
