Okay, who is on the new president search committee and what is their vision for Rice, and specifically the role athletics plays at Rice, over the next 10 years? That is going to be the key, for me.
I am no fan of Leebron, but as I have said, he is exactly as advertised. He had wonderful and breath-takingly developed skills in some areas, and life experiences and a world-view that inevitably led to a world at Rice where sports were held in the same regard and prioritized as sports would be at Columbia Law School ("Sure kids, go play; just be sure to shower before you sit on the furniture.")
