RE: CAA Tournament
NU forces a deciding CAA Championship game by beating UNCW 7-5 in 10 innings.
NU blew a 4-2 lead in the 8th as the Seahawks scored 2 in the 7th and 2 in the 8th to tie it at 4.
In the 10th, NU rallied to score 3 to go up 7-4 and held on for the 7-5 victory.
Wyatt Scotti got a tough no-decision (7 IP, 7 H, 2 ER, 0 BB, 4 K), but closer Brandon Dufault gave up the 2 run lead in the 8th once again.
This was the 4th time Glavine has brought him in the 8th with a lead looking for a 6 out save and he's blown it. I honestly don't know why Glav is so loyal to him in these situations.
Holzwasser and Ben Malgeri went deep. Malgeri did it twice.
NU will look to win that elusive first CAA title Sunday at 1 pm.

RE: CAA Tournament
After throwing 100 pitches on Thursday is risky but I guess if ever there is a time for a risk its now. 2-0 early for the Huskies

RE: CAA Tournament
I'm assumed he only had about 50 pitches and now he is done and handing off to Murphy. Good to get off to a fast start with the HR by Dupere but some trouble to navigate here in the 3rd

Nice getting out of the jam in the 3rd. Big inning then puts us up 6-2!

Absolutely nuts. 10-9 UNCW bottom 8. Big bats up for the Huskies though

What an amazing game. This team is incredible, it's been exciting to follow them through this season thus far. Looking forward to the NCAA's.
Seahawks are clearly a great team. Feels good to take this one.

Congrats fellas. Huge respect for your program and what Mike Glavine has been building there. Go kick some a$$ at the regionals.

I appreciate that.
The battles between UNCW and NU are some doozies and not for the faint of heart.
I really liked seeing Mark Scalf talking to Glav after the game. Respect and friendship between those two for sure.
It's a shame it came down the way it did. Both teams deserved to win.
