I don't personally have a preference. Both Elon and Charleston are quality opponents who know us well. And Elon is using their # 1 guy today as well (Brian Edgington). We went 4-2 against Charleston on the year and 3-3 against Elon, so not much difference there either.

In the top of the 3rd, Elon trails W&M, 2-0.

McDermott just hit a solo shot for the Tribe. Now 3-0.

The momentum left fast. Elon up 5-3 and has dominated the last 3.5 innings.

6-3 Elon now, and they're batting in the bottom of the 7th.

Edgington only last 2.2 innings for Elon, by the way, throwing only 56 pitches. He may be available for them later in the tournament as a result of that.

Assuming Elon holds on in this one, here would be the schedule tomorrow:

Day 2 of the tournament is underway with its first elimination game: # 5 Towson vs. # 6 W&M, with the Tigers as the home team.

The Tribe are out of the gates strong, grabbing a 1-0 lead in in the top of the 1st.

Still 1-0 Tribe, top 3rd.

Tribe take a 2-0 lead here in the top of the 4th. They already have 5 hits, including 2 doubles, compared to just 2 hits (1 double) for the Tigers.

A win for W&M and the only North Division team left in the field will be Northeastern.

3-0 Tribe, top 6th. In the 5th, another Tribe double led to a run, on a rare SAC fly where the runner scored all the way from 2nd on a deep fly ball to RF.

Tribe starter Zach Tsakounis, meanwhile, has set down 7 straight Tigers.

2-run bomb for W&M's Matt McDermott gives the Tribe a 5-0 lead in the 7th.

Now 7-0 Tribe, top 8th.

Towson has been using a bunch of different relievers the last 2 innings but nothing is stopping the Tribe offense. W&M has 12 hits on the day. The Tigers only have 3.

Tribe starter Tsakounis remains in to pitch the bottom of the 8th. He enters the frame having thrown 98 pitches thus far.

With 1 out and 1 on, W&M replaces Tsakounis with a lower leverage reliever and gets burned for it. 3-run HR by Towson makes it 7-3.
