I think it's the "If Biden wins I'm moving to Costa Rica."

The 'protect free speech with more censorship' is just the icing on an otherwise even fundamentally more ironic predicate there.

My take is that the following tweet from Robert Reich (apparently a 'fringe element' according to some) is precious, and already worth the 44 billion Musk paid:

The other one was his whiny imitation of 'you didnt build that'

By his whiny cry, he should jump the shark after a client of mine sold regulatory credits (like Musk did) to stay afloat -- that business is now a 1.2 billion valuation. The whiny cry of 'you didnt build that' just seems enormously endemic to the progs.

And apparently to Reich, signing contracts to provide an alternative and a competitive new option to NASA launches is some sort of a giveaway or subsidy. The 'wealth cry' never, ever, ever, ever, ceases from some quarters.

I think (most of) the left has trouble crediting anybody with achieving something themselves, unless they are a minority.

I understand Costa Rica is nice. If I were younger I might consider it. Biden winning would have zero to do with it, though. Texas turning blue might do the trick, though.

"In Central America and The Caribbean overall, Costa Rica is ranked the number one most peaceful country in the region out of 12. However, the homicide rate increased from 11.9 homicides per 100,000 people to 12.3 in the last year, and crime is still a significant threat to travelers in Costa Rica."

Sounds like a better place to move to than Chicago.

RE: Liberal or leftist?
Saw a really interesting speech on social media yesterday... a guy I don't know was basically talking about how the LGBT movement has added a dozen more letters to it in order to broaden the appeal... Paraphrasing, they are trying to create a majority through the combination of minorities.... a page out of Kennedy's book.... turning everyone into an oppressed person of some sort... a victim....the problem(s) with this are that you can't do that... in the simplest example, if you let trans men compete as women, you are oppressing women. If you give incentives for black Americans, what about Hispanics or Asians? Asians are grossly under-represented in sports in America. Should we address that by having more people who 'look like them' in these sports?? or should we subsidize (more) sports more popular with their ethnic groups?

EVERYONE, even the WASP has some area of their life where they are disadvantaged. This is how the Klan was started. Sharecroppers in the south (former slaves) were better at their jobs and would work for less than the poor white man... so the white man was starving because of the former slave. 'Doing the jobs White Americans wouldn't do'. Its the same thing, by the same party I need to point out.... NOT because it says anything about today's Democrat, but because it says something about the democratic party. They are STILL all about sewing division... and blaming someone else for your lot in life.

AOC is a perfect example...
She's in Congress. Congress makes the laws. She's a Democrat. The President she helped elect (and her party I might add) favor not giving SS (or federal taxes) to Puerto Rico... and the Supreme Court rules 8-1 (Sotomayor MIGHT have recused herself, since her retired Puerto Rican parents would directly benefit from the ruling)... haven't seen anyone question HER COI yet...

All the court said was that congress has the power to decide whom to give and not give benefits to... which supports Congress AND the Biden Administration... so of COURSE she comes out and blames the court...

When in reality, the problem is her (she's in Congress) and her party who hold all three branches..... again.

The Democrats have always been a coalition of special interest groups, much more so than the GOP.

There is a case pending before the Court that applies to your point in the first paragraph. A DC(?) school changed its admission policy from academic achievement to racial justice, resulting in many Asians who would have been accepted under academic guidelines being turned away.

Interesting point about Sotomayor. What makes it more interesting is that she was the LONE dissenting vote in that case. Although Thomas's lone dissenting vote is seen as proof of bias, this one is ignored. Democratic double standard again? I guess she was correct when she said a wise Latina might see things differently. A not-so-wise one, too.

AOC said this vote shows the Court is imperialistic. SCOTUS imperialist, says AOC
