Indiana connection. Ball State, Indiana St, Evansville and IUPUI were in running.

Seasoned, athletic, can put in the hole and will guard his position.

Presence will press White, Martin and Hamilton to step up their game.

Sr. so helps some in balancing out classes. Can help mentor Hamilton and Etchison.

Two others are going elsewhere (UTEP and Radford). Neither were organic fits like Smith.

Counting Titus Wright that is 10 scholarships.

Have offer out to kid from SLC. Slim taller wing spot up shooter. Watched tape. Not athletic. Didn't see handles but left alone can shoot lights out with long range. Saw no high lites on D. But has 4 years. Can't teach shooting like that. Could get in weight room and with age simply mature. Develop skill set, get stronger, keep range and he'll eventually contribute.

I would think that shooting sf spot will become Lobsinger's pretty soon. Really like his game. Was hoping he would sign w Toledo, but he chose the Broncos over the Rockets.

Will be interesting to see who will fill the TWO open spots left.

Certainly would be great to have Greg Lee reconsider & rejoin Broncos like Titus.

Have read that Greg is actively being courted by Penn State, Minnesota, Dayton and Butler to name 4. That could change on a daily basis.

Frankly, I don't see him coming back. I read Ray's comments about returning, playing and setting up his future. I don't disagree but the other side of the coin is he could do the same on a larger stage. Larger stage cuts both ways. It highlights and exposes. But that's the challenge and is exciting, IMO. But my opinion doesn't matter in this.

What if anything is required to assure Titus does stay? Are kids released of scholarships when going to the portal but then re-assigned one if they return? I can see where there is a risk to going portal. Out there. Find no love and in meantime current staff finds your replacement. Think Flowers.

Moving forward, Smith isnt a wing at 6'2. So his addition simply shores up the back court replacing Tolliver. Here, Smith is worthy of minutes where Tolliver wasnt. Still dont have a 6'4-6'6 slashing try making wing to push Freeman. Also, McMillian and Hastings come with a MASH unit *. If they go down or are limited due to nagging hurts WMU is limited in who can consume those minutes. Other than Lee no other predecessors would have made a difference.

So who is out there that could effectively play 30+ between the 4 and 5?
