Correction 6-4

No draft prospects. Comeaux's our best player and he's already got a job lined up. In fact, I'm surprised he even came back this year after graduating as he had the same job lined up last Summer.

10am start time for Sunday game due to expected weather. I guess they are trying to at least get Senior Day activities in.

I guess that means Senior Day ceremony will start around 9:30am - 9:45am?

Edit: Just posted that ceremony begins at 9:35am.

Wasn't Garcia drafted in a late round last year?

The draft was only 5 rounds last year. I think it is only 20 this year.

Thanks. Must have been the year before, after his would be Junior season (which he missed following TJS).

BTW, DeLeon has a shutout through 5 innings and, to my amazement, the game is now official. When I left Reckling after 3, with the rain starting to fall, I never thought they'd get it in.

Yesterday, Charlotte clinched the #1 seed in CUSA, and they're still Top 25 ranked. Having watched them the past 3 days, I just don't see it. Very good defensively and in the fundamentals, but the pitching is average at best, and they only have two elite hitters. If it wasn't for Holcomb's inability to throw strikes, a couple costly errors, and our skill at consistently leaving 10+ runners on base each game, we could have swept these guys.

And the weather delay hits at 12:20, with the Owls having 2 on and 2 outs in B5.

From the future radar, it doesn't look like the rain let's up until after 4 pm. What's Charlotte's drop dead time?

As I said, Charlotte has already clinched the #1 seed in the conference tourney. Woodward may just agree to call it a day rather than waste another arm or two. And he's already used most of his pitchers this weekend.

Maybe what we are seeing is the urgency resulting from Bragga coaching for his job.

That was one thing that always troubled me about Bailiff. I never saw any urgency--not in 2009-11, when it was obvious that realignment was coming soon and the programs that could not compete were going to get left behind, and not in 2015-17, when he was pretty much coaching for his job (even if it did take 3 years for the shoe to drop).

I think it was the year before (2019) but that’s a recollection not a fact.
