Was it because the virus was new or because the previous administration kept interfering.

Of course he did - this wasn't Ebola we were facing. Despite those on the left calling and hoping for his demise, he got covid and recovered. He said "don't let this virus control your life" (or something to that effect). But lots of folks fell right into the fear trap set by the media and the scared sheeple.

Right. The 2.2 million dead Americans was a huge exaggeration. The president didn't want people excessively scared, but if you listened to him, we had plenty of warning of how bad it could be. His "downplayng" making much of a difference is just DNC talking points.

The 2.2 million dead Americans WAS a huge exaggeration, as is the actual 500,000+ dead a huge exaggeration. Reference the NYT report on CDC exaggeration.

How many Americans do you think actually died of COVID?

More people die of car accidents in a typical year than have died of coronabug. According to the CDC's own evaluations this past fall, only about 6% of "deaths" attributed to coronabug are actually from the cornabug itself. The rest are deaths from conditions that in most cases would have caused death anyway. That they are being wrongly co-mingled to confuse and scare people shows the lack of integrity of most of these so-called "experts." Anyone notice the record-low flu and pneumonia season this past fall/winter/spring. The truth is that the flu/pneumonia seemed to be actually about the same, but with the extra payoffs for reporting coronabug as a cause of death, folks were apparently incentivized to exaggerate, falsify and more without consequences since, for the first time on a death certificate, only a mere "suspicion" was required for listing coronabug, whereas actual medical proof was still required for all other causes. That makes zero rational of logical sense. Wonder why they allowed it? Hmmmmmmmm.

Edit: News Flash: CDC now says since car accidents are so fatal and present an unacceptably high risk (not even one is acceptable, remember?), no one is allowed to drive cars anymore. Don't believe it? As of 7pm EST over 1,000 gas stations were completely out of gasoline, and for the first time since the Democrat-Jimmy Carter administration, Americans were waiting in long lines just to fill up their tanks with rationed gasoline in a non-disaster-related event. Coincidence...maybe.

This could have major ramifications as early as tomorrow - the lawsuit against the CDC by Florida, Texas, and Alaska will have a hearing on an injunction to lift the CDC's Conditional Sailing Order that poses a long list of requirements on cruise lines sailing out of US ports - including wearing masks, even while outdoors, unless if actively eating, drinking, or in a swimming pool/hot tub.

Some of the items that originally came out in the CDC's guidance to cruise operators have already been dropped, like a 12 hour turnaround between debarking and embarking passengers using the same gangway.

Yep, and the same clowns continue to spread lies about the millions of dead from the Spanish Flu and there is not one record to prove it.
