Okay last try, I promise
I have always loved puzzles. I have it figured out now and I hope you will like this one, because it is my last try and I think it's perfect. 13 conferences each 10 teams. No new fcs teams. You have 7 power conferences, 6 non-power. You win one of the 7 power conferences after a 9 game conference schedule and a 12 game regular season, you automatically go into 8 team playoff and you have a one game only from the other 6 conferences decided by a panel. The other 4 champions are guaranteed to play a bowl game against a power 7 team and the winner of that non-power title game goes into the 8 team playoff. Here we go...
American- Boston College, Syracuse, Pittsburgh, Penn State, Rutgers, Maryland, Cincinnati, West Virginia, Virginia, Virginia Tech
ACC- North Carolina, North Carolina State, Duke, Wake Forest, Clemson, South Carolina, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Florida, Miami
SEC- Central Florida, Florida State, Alabama, Auburn, Mississippi, Mississippi State, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, Arkansas, LSU
Big Ten- Kentucky, Louisville, Ohio State, Indiana, Purdue, Notre Dame, Michigan, Michigan State, Northwestern, Wisconsin
Big Twelve- Minnesota, Illinois, Iowa, Iowa State, Missouri, Nebraska, Kansas, Kansas State, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State
Southwest- Texas, Texas A&M, Houston, Baylor, TCU, Texas Tech, Arizona, Arizona State, UCLA, USC
Pac 10- Colorado, Utah, BYU, Boise State, Washington, Washington State, Oregon, Oregon State, Stanford, California
Non-power 6 conferences
North Atlantic- Massachusetts, Connecticut, Army, Buffalo, Temple, Navy, Marshall, Liberty, Old Dominion, East Carolina
Sun Belt- Appalachian State, Charlotte, Coastal Carolina, Georgia State, Georgia Southern, South Florida, Florida Atlantic, Florida International, Troy, South Alabama
MAC- Ohio, Miami Ohio, Akron, Toledo, Bowling Green, Kent State, Ball State, Eastern Michigan, Central Michigan, Western Michigan
Metro- Southern Miss, UAB, Middle Tennessee, Memphis, Western Kentucky, Northern Illinois, Arkansas State, Tulane, Louisiana, Louisiana Monroe
Conference USA- Louisiana Tech, Rice, UTSA, North Texas, Texas State, SMU, UTEP, Tulsa, New Mexico, New Mexico State
Mountain West- Wyoming, Colorado State, Air Force, Utah State, Nevada, UNLV, San Jose State, Fresno State, San Diego State, Hawaii
Ok, I have seen nothing better than this, even though I say myself. Still power in top schools, but a shot for all teams. Interested in what you say. Tried to keep rivalries, regional status, and excitement. Last shot, I promise. Really enjoyed this. Lot more thought into it.
