Not sure if this has been reported here or elsewhere, but ODU is in the Myrtle Beach tournament

Right now the field includes Oklahoma, Davidson, Boston College, ECU and Indiana State with the last two spots TBA.

I couldn't get your link to load, but did an internet search and found the same web page.

The link below has the following information showing Utah State instead of Boston College among the current 6 participants.

Interesting. My link, which I removed, was to the Blogging the Brackets early-season tournament page. No clue which one is more current, but Utah State would be an upgrade from BC this season.

Think I'm going to try to catch that tournament.

We are playing Mason, but the home and home was supposed to start last year and didn't so I'm not sure where we're playing.

ODU beat Northeastern on Dec. 20 but I'm not sure if that's a fulfillment of the contract or a separate deal caused by on-the-fly scheduling because of COVID

That game completed that deal. If Northeastern is added to the 2021-2022 season, then it's new H&H contract.

Heeeeeyyy we're playing Penn again. I hope we try and redo that home and home we signed with them. Would be nice to have a reason to head up and see Penn, and it's a fun story.

None of the teams are in the most recent Bracketology, but surprisingly things can change between May and March.

Oklahoma's the big name, but it'll be their first season with Porter Moser as coach, so how quickly he can adapt will determine whether they're an NCAA team again. Utah State has a new rising-star coach too (Ryan Odom), so ditto the Aggies. Davidson and New Mexico State are consistently solid. Penn's a wild-card having not played at all last season. Indiana State had a good player once. ECU has barbecue.

ODU probably won't win it but it's definitely winnable.

Perhaps, but the Spiders were supposed to be last year's Dayton, and after a win against what turned out to be a terrible Kentucky team, they underachieved their way into the NIT. Maybe they'll live up to the hype this time but I'm not sold yet.
