When do Protective Stadium seat certificates go on sale?
I like my UAB football seats so much that I want to sit there for the Birmingham Bowl, Super 6, World Games, soccer and concerts. Would it be too much to ask for them to change my seat color to gold?

That's almost worthy of a warning and a time out.

ALMOST??? Is this the present acceptable standard for describing posters we don't agree with or "like"? I realize the original post was "tongue in cheek" (blue font used) but that reply was the act of a bully who likes piling on .

All everyone has to do is stfu and we'll never see "seat certificates" on this board again. That would be an improvement.

#1- I did not bring the subject up in this thread in the first place
#2- Once UAB puts Legion Field permanently in its rear view mirror, the subject of dealing with stadium certificates issues will be over. They apply perpetually ONLY to football games at Legion Field.
#3- Watch out for those who have gotten used to "squatting" in whatever seats they desire like they did for 30 years before 2021. UAB must make sure ALL tickets (free promotional, student / band, general admission, etc) have section and seat numbers on them to eliminate confusion.

Clearly you've never heard the colloquial saying, "stirring a turd." I wasn't calling you a turd- the subject of stadium certificates is the turd. And when you stir a turd, it starts stinking, when what you should've done is leave it alone.

RE: When do Protective Stadium seat certificates go on sale?
Well I really would like to sit in my seats for every event. My seats rock! I think many people are just as pumped as me after getting exactly what they wanted in the seat selection. Protective Stadium is going to be a great environment for UAB games because of this process and the staff who put it together should be commended. It was brilliant to lower the seat prices in the east stands and create a rowdy framing of the game for TV.

Looking forward to how great our stadium experience will be is what I am excited about. We should all be thrilled at this point. We've won 2 of the last 3 CUSA football championships! Andy Kennedy came home to coach! We got a killer stadium! Go Blazers!

That’s exactly how I interpreted the statement...

if someone mentions a turd and you assume that the poster is talking about you...well, maybe that’s on you

I think more of a case of the raising the price is n the west side than lowering the east. The west has more amenities and a lot of fans want to sit on the same side as their team.

It's basically the same price as at Legion to be in the Blazer Club, the difference being there are more seats to sell at that price because there's not a true inside, enclosed "Blazer Club."

Stadium Club Seating (35 to 35 yard line) does have the amenities and is great for treating guests so a premium price of $950 is warranted. $400 West Side Scholarship Seating with no amenities and from the 15 yard line to the 35 on both ends is twice the price of East Side Scholarship Seating 15 yard line to 15 yard line. Yes, some want to sit near the team and will choose West but it was a great strategy to lure fans to the East with full sideline availability for half the price of the West. Looking forward to us all cheering together and creating one hell of a environment for our Blazers.

It is going to be a terrific environment and a lot more lucrative for the university, also. I think the key now will be trying to add another couple thousand to the season ticket base this summer. That would be huge. And then to at groups hard for specific games or mini-packages. Youth leagues, businesses, apartment complexes, corporate groups, civic groups, churches.

There will be a tremendous opportunity to convert some one- or two-time attendees in 2021 into season ticket holders for 2022.
